Burgos CF are almost qualified for the promotion playoff, while the situation at subgroup 1 is tenser than ever before. Deportivo are closer to disaster.

With three matchdays remaining, it seems that the fight for the promotion to Segunda A is reduced to four teams in each subgroup. The bottom clubs at both subgroups are closer to suffer one relegation. The big winner is Burgos CF, side that only needs a point in order to qualify to the promotion playoff.

Unionistas de Salamanca keep failing, they lost at home against runners-up Zamora CF (1-2), they have only added two of the last twelve points in dispute and their advantage at the top has been reduced to one point. Celta B were surprised at home by Salamanca UDS, but they kept the third place.

SD Compostela jumped into the fourth spot thanks to their resounding victory visiting Pontevedra CF (0-1). Meanwhile, Deportivo lost visiting Racing Ferrol (1-0) and their promotion dreams are almost over. Los Blanquiazules are now four points away from the third place with only nine in dispute, and the difference could be bigger depending on the pending games of Zamora CF and Celta B.

CD Guijuelo lost again, this time against Coruxo FC (0-2). They remain at the bottom and are now eleven points away from the sixth place with twelve points still to be disputed (they have a pending game), so it’s almost certain that they will be demoted to the fourth tier and will even have to fight in order to avoid a second demotion to the fifth tier.

The fight for the first three places:

place team points GF GA
1 Unionistas 26 14 7
2 Zamora 25 15 13
3 Celta B 24 18 13
4 Compostela 23 17 12

Leaders Burgos CF gave a huge step forward coming from behind and beating Cultural Leonesa at home (2-1). They have now a seven-point lead at the top and should be the first team to certify their qualification to the playoffs.

Real Valladolid Promesas jumped into the second place despite they could only add a point hosting CD Numancia (1-1), but Cultural Leonesa could recover the spot if they win their pending game scheduled for midweek.

UP Langreo wasted a good opportunity to enter into the first three places after only adding a point hosting Marino Luanco (1-1).  Real Oviedo B beat CD Lealtad (2-1) and are four points under the promotion zone.

CD Covadonga rescued a point thanks to a goal in the added time visiting Sporting B (3-3), but they remain at the bottom, now seven points away from the sixth position with three games to go, so they are very close to suffer the relegation to at least the fourth tier.

The first for the first three places:

place team points GF GA
1 Burgos 30 21 12
2 Valladolid P. 23 20 16
3 Cultural 22 20 13
4 Langreo 21 18 16

No football on next weekend. There are five pending games in group 1, four of these meetings will be played between Wednesday and Saturday. So, by the time matchday 16 starts to b played in the firs weekend of March, the only pending game will be Numancia Vs. Oviedo B.

In subgroup 1, Unionistas will try to break their negative streak visiting last place CD Guijuelo, while there’s an important game with fourth place SD Compostela hosting third place Celta B. Depor host Pontevedra CF in a game between two former favorites that are now fighting to avoid the demotion.

In subgroup 2, Burgos CF only need a point to certify their presence in the promotion playoff, and they could do it visiting CD Numancia. There’s also an interesting game with third place Cultural Leonesa hosting UP Langreo.
