X?rez C.D. is one of the most pleasant surprises at Segunda Divisi??n, currently the team coached by Esteban Vigo is fourth after ten matchdays, just separated from the promotion places for the goal-average against Real Zaragoza. The good thing for Depor is that two of its most promising players are gaining experience at that club: Aythami and ?lex Berganti?os.

No one was expecting to see X?rez fighting for the promotion to Primera Divisi??n, but that?s exactly what’s occurring, at least during the first ten matchdays. The secret of the team is the scoring capacity of its players, and it’s that X?rez has scored 16 goals in ten matchday, record only improved in this division by Real Zaragoza with 20. The leader in this department is Antonio Ramirez ?Anto?ito’, the ex-Sevilla attacker who has conquered four goals so far.

But there are other players calling the attention, two of them are Depor’s promises Aythami Artiles and ?lex Berganti?os. Youngsters that were loaned in order to gain experience. Aythami, together with goalkeeper Chema and defender Francis, are the only three players that have played completely the ten games of the liga season. The Canarian defender has even scored two goals on the competition, the first one in the 2-1 win over Albacete and the other during last weekend’s victory over Real Murcia (5-3). He’s considered as one of the vital pieces in defence.

The case of ?lex has been more difficult, he started the season sited on the bench, but coach Esteban Vigo is already trusting in him. Curiously the Galician midfielder was only a starter during the visits of the squad, more precisely in the games played at Rayo Vallecano, Real Sociedad and Zaragoza. His first home match as starter was the last mentioned victory against Real Murcia, game in which he was praised for the local media due to his skills to administrate the ball.

About his adventure in Segunda Divisi??n, ?lex recently commented in newspaper La Voz de Galicia: ?It was hard to me to enter into the squad, I didn’t play the first three games. But later I had regularly outside home and I was a starter at Anoeta, Vallecas and La Romareda. I can’t believe I have faced players that I only watched before on the TV, like Oliveira or Zapater.?

But the influence of Deportivo at X?rez doesn’t end there, because there are other two ex-Depor players performing at the squad. The first one is the partner of ?lex in midfield: Emilio Viqueira, Galician player that was part of Depor between the years 1995 and 2000. He has been a starter in the ten matches played so far at the squad. The other player is Momo, Canarian winger that cancelled his contract with Depor during the summer, he’s entering into the plans of coach Vigo in the last matches and already scored three goals, including two in the last match with Murcia.

And the exhibition of ?lex and Aythami has not been only watched by the newspapers, because coach Miguel Angel Lotina is also aware of their progress, as he said on Tuesday at radio Onda Cero: ?Aythami was needing more time at other squad, and with his current level, he should return for the next year. The same goes for Adri??n. We will see what happens with Alex, he needs more time.?

That was the response of the Basque manager when he was asked about the evolution of the loaned players, as it was wrote before, he also mentioned striker Adri??n, the other youngsters that’s succeeding outside Depor. The Asturian youngster was loaned during the summer to first division club Malaga CF, and so far he already scored two goals with the squad, including one that gave the victory over Sevilla.
