Lendoiro announced after the game with Valencia that the case of the Mexican striker Omar Bravo was near to be resolved, but then nothing more was said. Now it has been known that the president of Tigres is traveling to La Coru?a in order to close the loan of the player.

Omar Bravo still linked with a move to Tigres de Monterrey, it was rumoured during the past week that a loan deal was almost closed, then on Sunday, after the game with Valencia, president Augusto C?sar Lendoiro announced the deal was near to be signed, ?He will be loaned to Tigres with a buyout option. Tomorrow we should have a resolution about the destiny of Omar. Until now it has been difficult due the games we faced in mid-week and the subject still in progress.?

However, nothing more occurred on Monday and neither on Tuesday. But it was announced that the president of Tigres,  H?ctor Gonz??lez I???rritu, traveled on Tuesday’s night to La Coru?a in order to close the deal once and for all. A source inside Tigres consulted by a Mexican reporter claimed that: ?The Presidents will have a meeting and later a dinner on Wednesday. At midnight of that day Lendoiro should have an answer for Tigres. They are going to negotiate, Tigres already made its proposal and La Coru?a wants a little more. Obviously Tigres will try to reduce the cost, but for that reason the president is traveling, to have a direct negotiation.?  This same source calculated that the negotiations are advanced in 80%.

A problem that seems to have delayed the operation is the dismissal of coach Manuel Lapuente, who was fired in the weekend after Tigres lost with Am?rica (2-3). For the moment it’s speculated that Argentine Jos? Pekerman will take the job. Tigres has just picked six points after seven matches in the Mexican Torneo Clausura 2009, besides is among the worst scorers in the tournament with just five goals in the account, reason why they are searching for another striker. The Mexican market is already closed, but Tigres has the option to sign a replacement for keeper Alfredo Talavera who suffered a serious injury at the beginning of the tournament.

The idea of Tigres is to have Omar Bravo as soon as possible and to allow his debut on Sunday against Pumas, however it seems difficult to happen, because Deportivo still needs the player for the UEFA challenge against AaB, this since the Galician squad needs goals to surpass the series and especially because the Mexican and Bodipo are the only two available attackers for the encounter. Anyhow is very probable that the deal will take place, it should be reminded that Tigres is owned by Cemex , the third biggest producer of cement in the world.
