TRANSFER RUMOURS

18 Mar 2009
Ruben Micael and Nene from Nacional in Portugal continue linked with Deportivo, Radio Galega interviewed Micael and he admitted it would be a good move for his career. Meanwhile Juan Rodriguez has been linked with Everton and Sergio’s father is offering an effort in order to renew.

A few weeks ago, the Portuguese media was appointing that Deportivo was following two players from Clube Desportivo Nacional (known also as C.D. Nacional "da Madeira"): Brazilian striker ?‚nderson Miguel da Silva â€?Nene’ (25) and Portuguese offensive midfielder Ruben Micael Freitas da Ressurrei?§??o (22).

Both men are shining at the Portuguese league, actually Nene is the top-scorer of the squad with 15 goals in 21 liga matches, reason why he was already linked with important clubs like Arsenal FC. Meanwhile, Micael has called the attention with his moves and also for his multifunctional skills (he can play at the centre and on both wings). He already scored 3 goals in 18 matches of the Portuguese league.

Since the past week, Radio Galega has been following both cases. This source claims that Deportivo already have a report of both men. The sporting program Caneando talked with the president of the club, Rui Alves, and he admitted that Deportivo would have an advantage in a possible negotiation, It won’t be difficult for Deportivo to negotiate four our players, we can’t fight against the big clubs.

And on Wednesday, Micael was interviewed by Caneando and admitted he would like to play in Spain, "Everybody would love to play in a major club, and it's clear that Deportivo is stronger than Nacional. A few matchdays are left in order to end the Portuguese league, and later we will talk."

Meanwhile, the father of Sergio is leaving an open door to renew for Deportivo, If we all give up a little bit, Sergio will renew. Off course we can reach an agreement. Phrase that Avelino Gonz??lez pronounced during an interview at Sportpaper AS. One and a half month ago, he and president Lendoiro had a meeting that was the first contact between both parties.

At the time, the same Avelino Gonz??lez showed his surprise because he said he was expecting for a low offer to renew, but not so low’ as the one that presented by Lendoiro. Those comments were interpreted as a block in the negotiations, but Sergio’s father said to AS that things are different, I am not negative, and I don’t agree with what people think about it (that Sergio won’t renew). Until we don’t sit and talk, we can not think in other way. Nothing is impossible. For the moment, we are waiting and in a few days, we will take the initiative in order to choose. If he doesn’t sign for three years, he will do it for two or for the formula 1+1 (one year plus an option to extend it for one more year). Neither is insurmountable the difference, this related to the money. We are open to give up and if Deportivo does it too…

Finally, midfielder Juan Rodriguez is attracting interest from Premier League club Everton, this according to a report in the British tabloid The Daily Mirror. It is claimed that Toffees manager David Moyes has sent scouts to watch the combative midfielder in action and has enquired about his availability this summer. It was also printed that the operation has been valued by the British club in €2.5 million. Other Depor’s player linked with an exit is Albert Lopo. On Tuesday, the front cover of Galician Sportpaper Deporte Campe??n was appointing that the club is opened to accept offers for the Catalan defender, while on Wednesday the same source claimed that clubs in England and France are interested in him.
