According to Sportpaper Deporte Campe??n, David Garc?a is the first signing of Depor for the new season. The left-back has played his entire career at RCD Espanyol and is ending contract in June. Meanwhile, Depor pushes for Eliseu.

Coach Lotina has admitted in several opportunities that Deportivo will sign a left-back defender during the summer window, this in order to have a back-up for Filipe Luis. Some names have been mentioned by the news and Sportpapers, and now one of them comes to the spotlight: David Garc?a de La Cruz (28). He is a left-footed defender that has spent his entire career at RCD Espanyol (1999-2009).

The Manresa-born man is ending contract in June and has only played seven games on the liga season, Lotina knows him well since Garc?a was the left-back that he used during his stage at Espanyol. Sportpaper Deporte Campe??n (DxT) printed on Saturday a report in which it is claimed that Depor and the player already have an agreement. If the information is confirmed, it would mean the first signing for the season 2009/2010.

Meanwhile, the same source claims that Depor still chasing Portuguese left winger Eliseu Pereira dos Santos (25) (26 games on the season, 6 goals scored) . DxT informs that there’s a buyout option for €500,000 and that several clubs are interested in the player. Eliseu ends his contract in 2011 and Malaga already offered a five-year extension to the winger, but his agent -Carlos Gon?alves- will wait until the end of the season in order to take a final decision. It has been said that Porto FC already had a deal with Eliseu, but the agent denied the agreement.
