Depor still targeting Europe and Getafe the mathematical permanence, Lotina will repeat the squad that defeated Recre and relies in the new fellowship of the goals, while Michel arrives to the Riazor with almost the same team that crushed Osasuna.

This is the fifth season for Getafe FC playing at Primera Divisi??n, and in its previous four visits to La Coru?a, the Madrilenian team was only able to pick up a point, it was during the past season as both teams drew with a 1-1 score. But in a past Copa Del Rey edition, Getafe gave a hard hit to Depor as it eliminated the Galician squad playing at the Riazor (season 87/88). The Galicians were at Segunda and the Madrilenians at Segunda B. Depor lost the first-leg in Madrid (0-2), and then was eliminated at the Riazor as both teams ended 2-2 in a game that Deportivo was winning 2-0 by minute 24.

But Getafe is not arriving to Galicia in good shape, because the team, now coached by Michel, is living its worst moment on the season with eight defeats within the last eleven games in liga. In other words, the Madrilenian squad has only clinched three wins during the year 2009; one of them was a victory at the Sanchez Pizju??n stadium against Sevilla (0-1). The other two times in which Getafe picked the three points playing away from home were at San Mam?s against Athletic Bilbao (1-0, matchday 05) and at El Molin??n against Sporting Gij??n (2-1, matchday 01).

The last victory over Osasuna gave a breath of fresh air to the squad and also to his novel coach, but they can’t face the game at the Riazor without looking at the relegation zone with some concern, and it’s that the Madrilenians are just separated by three points from Sporting Gij??n, squad that currently occupies the last spot that means to be dropped to Segunda Divisi??n. Getafe will secure the permanence if they achieve the three points at the Riazor and if Sporting loses against Malaga.

Deportivo, meanwhile, arrives to the game living its best moment on the liga season, with thirteen points added in the last five matches. The Galicians are also trying to keep themselves involved in the fight for Europe and also improving its currently solid record at the Riazor. And it’s that Lotina’s side is the fifth strongest team at home with 34 points added in 18 matches (63% of the total). Only Barcelona (45) Real Madrid (44), Valencia (37) and Almeria (37) present better numbers.

It is well know that Angel Lafita and Riki have represented a profitable couple for Deportivo, the Aragonian is the Pichichi at the squad with eight goals in liga while the Madrilenian has added five to his tally. This combination means the 28% of the goals conquered by Depor on the liga season. But now, with both men sited on the bench, the squad has found a new quartet that’s showing the path to the goals: Joan Verd??, Pablo Alvarez, Sergio and Rodolfo Bodipo.

At matchday 26, Depor was crushing Racing Santander at the Riazor with a 5-3 score and with two goals from Riki and one from Lafita. But since that day, the balance with the goals has changed. And it’s that within the last nine matchdays, Depor has scored twelve goals and eight of those goals were conquered by this quartet (Verd?? 3, Sergio 2, Pablo Alvarez 2 and Bodipo 1).

Lassad Nouioui has also been very active as he scored his three goals in liga during this period of time, but the Tunisian attacker isn’t able to join the ?new fellowship of the goals’ for the game against Getafe since he wasn’t able to surpass the muscular contracture that also kept him out of the last game with Recreativo Huelva.

With the three goals added in the last nine games of Depor, Verd?? is now reaching the mark of seven on the liga season, he was showing his happiness with his current streak, ?It’s something to be content, I believe it’s a good number of goals. Maybe people weren’t expecting to see me and Lafita scoring so many goals, but at any team, the goals from the players at the second line are important.?

About the lineup that will face Getafe FC, as it was announced before by, it will be the same one that defeated Recreativo on the past weekend. Daniel Aranzubia will stay at the goal. In defense, Manuel Pablo will cover the right-back position, Filipe Luis the left side and the duo at the centre will be composed by Albert Lopo and Z? Castro.

In midfield, Juan Rodriguez will be completing his game number 150 at Primera Divisi??n and will join Sergio on the pivote functions. Joan Verd?? will perform as the playmaker on the formation, Andr?s Guardado will cover the left wing, Pablo Alvarez the right and Rodolfo Bodipo will be the lonely striker.

Due to his muscular problem, Lassad is joining Mista and Antonio Tom??s at the injury room, these last two men already started to train, but it’s too soon for a return to normal competition. Adrian L??pez ?Piscu’ already surpassed an ankle sprain, but he wasn’t picked by Lotina for technical reasons, neither Pablo Amo nor Fabricio.

One of the captains at the squad, Manuel Pablo, was talking after Friday’s training about the feelings of the players regardless to Europe, ?There is hope in the changing room. We are content and we are willing to be in Europe for next season. We all are very satisfied with the season done by the team and now that three games are remaining, we will fight in order to end in the best possible way.?

List of called players (19): Aranzubia, Mun??a (goalkeepers); Manuel Pablo, Laure, Z? Castro, Lopo, Colotto, Filipe (defenders); De Guzm??n, Sergio, Juan Rodr?guez, Pablo ?lvarez, Guardado, Cristian, Lafita, Verd??, Valer??n (midfielders); Bodipo and Riki (strikers).

It has been a disappointing season for the Madrid-based club, after completing a solid presentation in the UEFA Cup during the past edition, the team now coached by Michel is reaching matchday 36 in la liga without securing the permanence. Something that already caused the exit in recent weeks of former coach V?ctor Mu?oz. In order to clinch the permanence once and for all, Getafe needs to win at the Riazor and to hope for a defeat of Sporting Gij??n against Malaga FC. If this double requisite is not fulfilled, they will have to wait at least one more week.

The main problem of the squad during the present season is the high numbers of goals received. The Madrilenians have leaked 54 goals on the liga campaign, mark that means the third worst record at Primera Divisi??n. So far, Getafe has only achieved five clean sheets on the liga campaign, the last one on the past weekend (3-0 win over Osasuna).

Other of the problems denounced by the media throughout the season is the low number of goals in favour (47 so far), however that mark means one more goal than the one of Deportivo. Besides, the strikers at the Madrilenian team have been very active during the liga campaign as the five strikers picked for Depor’s game have conquered the 64% of the goals in the tournament: Soldado (11), Albin (7), Uche (7), Manu del Moral (5) and Kepa (0).

For the game against Depor, coach Michel is planning to use a similar squad to the one that defeated Osasuna. This is mainly possible since Adri??n Gonz??lez (Michel’s son) and Esteban Granero were forgiven by La Liga Appeals Committee, but the first player won’t be a starter in the game, because Fabio Celestini is now fit to play after surpassing a knee injury, that’s the only change ahead of the match at the Riazor.

It is a 4-3-1-2 formation, with Argentine Oscar Ustari at the goal, ex-Mallorca David Cort?s at the right-back position, the duo Pedro Mario Alvarez-Daniel ?Cata’ D?az at the centre of the defence and ex-Valladolid Rafael L??pez ?Rafa’ at the left side, Precisely, the left-back position is one of the weakest points at Getafe, Argentine Lucas Licht and Signorino, who was linked with Depor in the past, are having a poor season and Rafa has been forced to play there in recent weeks. And on Friday it was know that Getafe already bought Almeria’s Mane ahead of next season (they will pay 2.5 million Euros).

At midfield, Francisco Casquero and Uruguayan Juan Angel Alb?n will join Celestini in a triple pivote figure. Casquero was doubtful during the week due to an ankle problem, but now he is fit to play. Granero will be alternating his function between the playmaking tasks and the left wing. Finally, the attacking couple will be composed by Nigerian Ikechukwu Uche and ex-Real Madrid Roberto Soldado.

Lucas Matias Licht, Ibrahim Kas, Vladimir Stojkovic and Joffre Guerr??n weren’t picked for the match due to technical reasons, while Jaime Gavil??n (muscular problem on his right thigh) and Eugen Polanski (muscular problem) are out due to injury reasons.

One of the things emphasised during the week is that Getafe hasn’t won’t yet two straight games on the liga season, something that midfielder Mario Cotelo wants to correct, ?This is the moment, we haven’t won two games in a row during the whole year. Three games are remaining in the calendar, it’s the right time to do it, because it’s something needling us on the inside, I think it’s easy to do it during a season. But we haven’t succeeded and that makes a little history of the team. It’s normal to see a team that hasn’t won two straight games lying down there."

List of called players (18): Jacobo, Ustari (goalkeepers); Contra, Cata D?az, Berenguer, Mario, Rafa, David Cort?s (defenders), Celestini, Mario Cotelo, Granero, Casquero, Adri??n Gonz??lez (midfielders); Soldado, Alb?n, Manu Del Moral, Kepa and Uche (strikers).

Deportivo: Aranzubia - Manuel Pablo, Lopo, Z? Castro, Filipe - Sergio, Juan Rodr?guez - Pablo ?lvarez, Verd??, Guardado - Bodipo.
Getafe: Ustari - Cort?s, Cata D?az, Mario, Rafa - Alb?n, Casquero, Celestini – Granero – Uche, Soldado.
Referee: David Fern??ndez Borbalan (16 games on the season, 7 wins for the local team).
Kick-off: 20h00 CET (Riazor)
Head-to-head Vs Getafe: 5 wins for Depor, 3 draw, 1 win for Getafe (Primera)
Record at the Riazor: 3 wins for Depor, 1 draw, 0 wins for Getafe (Primera)
