RIKI IS NOW THE MOST EFFECTIVE MAN

18 May 2009
Madrilenian Riki, thanks to his goal against Getafe, is now replacing Rodolfo Bodipo as the most effective man at Depor. He scores a goal every 171 minutes. And that taking in mind he is the player with more appearances as substitute: 19

Riki is now replacing Rodolfo Bodipo as the most effective man at Deportivo. The Aranjuez-born attacker has scored six times in liga after conquering the equaliser in the last match with Getafe, in this way he has now an average of one goal scored every 171 minutes, while Bodipo is second in the list with an average of one goal every 237 minutes.

A curious thing is that Riki is also the player with more appearances as a substitute on the liga season: 19 (26 games on the liga campaign, only 7 times as starter). Actually, four of the six goals conquered by the Madrilenian striker were scored after he joined the game coming from the bench. Besides, he only played once during the fully ninety minutes (against Mallorca at the Riazor, matchday 22).

But it isn’t a new thing for Riki, because on the past season the situation was the same. He scored his five goals on the 2007/2008 campaign coming out from the bench. Besides, in that year, the Madrilenian was the player with more appearances as substitute during the liga tournament: 24 (32 games, only 8 times as starter).
