Lassad will probably miss Saturday’s game at Sevilla, while Lotina is recovering Antonio Tom??s for the occasion. At Sevilla, Kanout? is doubtful, while Javi Navarro announces his retirement.

All appoints that Lassad Nouioui will miss his third game in a row as he skipped the first training ahead of the game at Sevilla. The Tunisian striker didn’t work on Tuesday as the team got back to the training pitch, because he was passing a scan that later revealed that he has surpassed a muscular contracture. However, the ex-Fabril striker still facing problems when he works on the field and Lotina is pessimistic about the situation, as he said to reporters ?It is difficult to think he will fit for Saturday.?

Who seems already recovered is Antonio Tom??s. The Cantabrian midfielder has missed the last six liga matches due to a stress fracture (thigh) and he worked on Tuesday without major problems. But Mista won’t be ready for the clash in Seville, the striker is slowly returning from his pubalgy problems and he is not fit enough to play the game.

It has been announced that Deportivo will repeat the same planning used for the visit to Recreativo in Huelva, this means the squad will normally train on Wednesday and Thursday and then it will leave early on Friday’s morning to Andalusia and held a training session at the sporting city of Sevilla FC. Therefore the list of called players for the game will be released since Thursday.

After Tuesday’s training session ended, coach Miguel ?ngel Lotina gave a press conference at Abegondo’s press room. He was analysing the European chances of his team, ?We already said before that it was important to win and we still in the same point. We must win on Saturday. It will be a complicate match because Sevilla is playing for the third spot, but if we win, some other result will be favourable. We all have the sensation that Sevilla, Villarreal and Atletico Madrid haven’t been fine this year, but it is because (Real) Madrid and Barca have obtained a large difference. But if you see their number of points, it is normal. The ones at the top have a lot and the ones that bottom much less. As example, on the past year Racing went to the UEFA with 60 points, and Celta even reached the Champions League with 61.?

The Basque manager also explained that he sees his team in good conditions and without major physical problems, this taking in mind it was the first club in Spain that started the pre-season, ?The team is fine, we have reached the final part of the season in good conditions. We designed some training sessions at the beach at this point of the campaign, this in order to get rid of the stress; we had even watched the tides. But now we see that we don’t need this. I would have signed to reach the last part of the season like this.?

Finally, Lotina had some words for Iv??n P?rez and ?lex Berganti?os, two players that could have a spot at the first squad ahead of the next season, "I have spoken with him (Iv??n P?rez) and the president, and both know it. I want to see him in the pre-season and I smell something good. As for Alex, we must decide whether if we will call him back or if we should leave him there for one more year, it can phenomenal for him. We still have to think it."

At Sevilla, the attention has been focused in two subjects: the injury of striker Frederic Kanout? and the retirement of captain Javi Navarro. Kanout? left the game against Osasuna suffering a problem in the pubis region and on Tuesday he worked apart from his team mates. But it’s expected he will be fit enough for Saturday. Meanwhile, captain Javi Navarro announced on Tuesday that he is retiring from football after been unable to surpass a knee injury that has sideline him during the present season. He is considered as a symbol at the club as he lifted the five cups clinched by Sevilla in recent season.

In other news of the game against Depor, Federico Fazio and Lautaro Acosta skipped Tuesday’s training due to injury reasons, it isn’t know yet if both will be ready for Saturday. Who is already discarded for the match is midfielder Christian Romaric; the Ivory Coast player was sent off during the game against Osasuna and now he’s facing a one-game suspension.
