Deportivo will try to reach the mark of 38 points added at home during Saturday’s clash against Barcelona FC. It’s the best season at the Riazor since Irureta left the club on the 2004/2005 campaign.

The Riazor has finally recovered its recent glory, for the present liga season Deportivo’s team has been able to add 35 points in 18 matches disputed there. That’s the best mark within the last five seasons. It’s necessary to look back to Javier Irureta’s last season at the club in order to find a better mark. And it’s that on the season 2004/2005, the team clinched 42 of the 57 points disputed at the Riazor.

On the present season only Sporting Gij??n (3-0), Sevilla (3-1) and Atletico Madrid (2-1) were able to achieve a victory in La Coru?±a. A thing to emphasise is that Deportivo has only allowed 17 goals at home on the present season, only Barcelona presents a better mark in la liga (14). However, this mark of goal leaked isn’t better than the one had with Caparr??s on the season 2006/2007 (16).

What has improved is the number of goals in favour, because so far Depor has scored 29 goals in 18 matches at home. That’s an improvement from the 23 conquered on the past season or the marks had with Caparr??s (19 in both seasons, 2005/2006 – 2006/2007). It’s even better than the mark had with Irureta during the season 2004/2005 (25).
