DEPORTIVO IN DECEMBER

02 Dec 2009
Three liga matches are the only action that Deportivo is going to see during the last month of the year. Two are tough tests at home against clubs fighting at the top, while the other is a confrontation against a rival that’s trying to survive.

Lotina’s team will put an end to the year 2009 with three more games in liga, encounters in which the Galicians will try to continue with the good run of recent months. Deportivo aspires to demonstrate during December that it’s a real candidate for the top six places at Primera División, and what better way to start than doing it against the reign champions of Barcelona FC.

The Catalans visits the Riazor on Saturday and arrives undefeated on the liga season and with the great satisfaction of beating nemesis Real Madrid on the past matchday (1-0). Barca only lost one game on the regular season; it was in Champions League against Russian champions FC Rubin Kazan (0-1).
