Jorge Andrade and Juan Carlos Valer??n are progressing with positive results from their complicated injuries. The Canarian playmaker even started to work with the ball while the Portuguese defender is progressing in Lisbon. Both men could be ready before next season starts.

Jorge Andrade had torn the patellar tendon in his left knee during the confrontation against Barcelona in la liga. In the beginning it was said that he wouldn't be ready to return until next season and for that reason the Portuguese player started to work in his own country in order to progress through the recuperation process.

The doctor of Deportivo, C?Šsar Cobi??n, visited him during the last weekend and he confirmed the evolution that Andrade is experiencing. The defender is working with Antonio Gaspar, one of the doctors of the Portuguese Federation. Cobi??n admitted his satisfaction with the effort that Andrade is making: "I saw he was really happy and he is really involved with his recuperation. And that's precisely what he has to do."

Meanwhile, Juan Carlos Valer??n started to work with the ball during Wednesday's training. The Canarian tore the cruciate ligament in his knee when he was playing at the Riazor against Mallorca in January. For the moment he is only doing physical exercises and some movement with the ball, but it is a great step forward bearing in mind the seriousness of his injury. He also expects to be ready for next season.

Canaldeportivo.com also confirmed that doctor Cobi??n will travel to Madrid on Monday, the reason is to have a meeting with Spain's national coach Luis Aragon?Šs, and the doctor of the federation, Genaro Borr??s. The meeting also involves other club's doctors and the main objective is to know the current state of the players that will participate in the World Cup. Capdevila and Munitis are the Depor players with most chances of travelling to the greatly anticipated tournament this summer.
