Atletico Madrid is pressing in the case of Filipe through a demand for Ze Castro; meanwhile Segunda club Ponferradina is interested in Iván Pérez, and Bodipo is loaned out to Romania.

On Tuesday it was known that Atletico Madrid has presented a demand against Deportivo for the unpaid debt of Portuguese central defender Zé Castro. The demand was presented before the LFP and will block any attempt of Depor to inscribe the new signings ahead of the season 2010/11.

It is surprising news, because during the presentation of Desmarets president Lendoiro told to reporters that the debt for Ze Castro was of €1.6 million and that at least two of the three payments were not overdue. The Portuguese defender arrived to Depor for the season 2008/09, it was a loan operation with a buyout clause, one year later the club was fulfilling the clause (€2 million) and the player signed a contract lasting until 2013.

According to reports from several Sportpapers, Atletico’s demand is for €500,000 and it’s just a strategy to push Lendoiro to accept the offer of the club for Filipe Luis. The Madrilenians are offering €12 million for the Brazilian defender, while Depor’s boss wants €15 million. Atletico is desperate to have the player as soon as possible and decided to take this action as the second payment for Ze Castro was expiring on June 30.

The curious thing is that some sources at Deportivo told to Sportpaper AS that Atletico also owns money to Depor for a past transfer (apparently Emerson). The amount of the debt is €372.478 plus interest and could push Depor to counterattack with a demand against Atletico before the LFP, though Lendoiro doesn’t like to use this strategy.

Taking in mind past experiences it seems clear that Lendoiro will not surrender against this kind of pressure, and that he will now prefer to sell the player to a foreign club, like the cases of Liverpool FC or Inter Milan.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday Depor Sport informed that there’s an agreement with Romanian club FC Vaslui for the loan of striker Rodolfo Bodipo. The Romanians will play the preliminary round of the Europa League and have hired Spanish coach Juan Ramón López Caro. The agreement is for one year and it means good news for Lotina as he already discarded the Equatoguinean attacker ahead of the new season.

Finally, recently promoted club to Segunda División Ponferradina FC is interested in the loan of midfielder Iván Pérez. Lotina sees with good eyes the operation as he thinks the ex-Fabril needs to gain more experience. For the moment the player wants to start the pre-season stage with Depor and refuses to accept the deal, but newspaper Diario de Leon affirms that Ponferradina is ready to wait for a couple of weeks in order to complete the operation.
