The main worry for Caparr??s is the defensive zone. The suspensions of Coloccini and Manuel Pablo plus various injuries are leaving the squad without options to cover those positions. Meanwhile, in Sevilla the main worry is the UEFA Cup semi-final against Schalke 04.

Juanma and C?©sar are still facing difficulties and Caparr??s could be forced to improvise. If the two are fit for Saturday's game, they could cover the centre while H?©ctor will play on the right side and Capdevila on the left.

But if any of the central defenders aren’t ready to play, Caparr??s will be forced to improvise. The first choice could be the entrance of Romero as central defender. Another alternative that has worked well in the last few games is H?©ctor, but with Manuel Pablo suspended, the right side will be left without options. For this reason Caparr??s may choose Juli??n de Guzm??n to occupy the position.

Sergio is sure to play in midfield, while the coach is waiting to see how Duscher's ankle heals. V?ctor didn't train yesterday as a precaution, but his place in the starting eleven seems to be secure since Gallardo can't participate in this match (his loan contract with Sevilla prohibits that option). Munitis will continue on the left wing and despite Javier Arizmendi’s critics, the strike zone will remain without changes. Iago will play for the fourth consecutive time in the starting eleven.

Sevilla’s record at the Riazor is impressive in a negative way. The team hasn’t won in the stadium since the 1953/54 season. It's the worst record in Depor's stadium of all the Primera clubs (not including newcomers C??diz and Getafe).

The main absence in Juande Ramos's squad is Fredy Kanout?©. The French striker is out with a muscular problem and will be out of action for two weeks. Other injured players for Sevilla are Jordi L??pez and Puerta. These three players will also miss the crucial UEFA Cup semi-final match against Schalke 04. This game is generating more speculation in Andalucia than the one against the Galicians.

President Del Nido was excited to announce the presence of 4,000 Sevillans in the first leg against the Germans, but at the same time he didn't think his team would lose focus on Saturday: "The squad knows the consequences. They also know that La Liga is the only door to participation in the next European season. We saw that last Sunday when our boys tried to reverse the result until the 93rd minute."
