It seems that midfielder Juan Rodriguez has reached an agreement in order to play at Getafe starting in June of this year; the Andalusian is one of the eight players ending contract at Depor at the end of the present campaign.

Radio Onda Cero reported it first and now Radio Televisión Galega (TVG) is confirming the issue: Juan Rodriguez has an agreement in order to join Getafe FC during the upcoming summer. The sources claim that the midfielder has reached a three-year contract with the Madrilenian club, though nothing is official yet.

The Andalusian is one of the eight players that are ending contract in June and it seems that Getafe is also interested in Albert Lopo, who is also in the list of players that are finalizing their deals with Deportivo.

Website contacted the club in order to know its opinion, and the answer was that president Lendoiro will soon start the renewal conversations with the players that are ending contract. In past seasons the player was linking with some Premiership clubs, but nothing happened and he stayed at the club.

Alongside Juan Rodriguez there are other two midfielders ending contract: Antonio Tomás and Juca, which means that next year Depor might end suffering a total facelift on this sector of the pitch.

If the exit of the ex-Malaga midfielder is confirmed, then it could be the opportunity that Alex Bergantiños was waiting for; the former captain of Fabril has had a poor season at Granada, and precisely yesterday it was confirmed that he is moving up to Nastic de Tarragona in order to search for the minutes that he couldn’t have in La Coruña.

The situation could also open the door at the first team for the current captain of Fabril, Daniel Rodriguez ‘Dani’, or to Héctor Garcia Montero, the two defensive midfielders with more minutes at Depor B on the current Segunda B campaign.
