Lotina will keep the 5-2-2-1 draw for the visit to Getafe, but there are some novelties that were witnessed during Wednesday’s training at the Riazor. And t’s that it seems that Javito and Morel could be starters.

There is a high expectation in La Coruña in order to witness how coach Miguel Angel Lotina will fit the last three incorporations into his tactical plans; on Wednesday the team trained at the Riazor and the coach gave some hints of his plans ahead of the clash in Madrid against Getafe CF. The session was not “totally” behind closed doors as the coach allowed reporters to watch the training, though he only allowed to take pictures during the warming exercises.

During the session Lotina tested two 5-2-2-1 lineups, both squads faced a reserve team composed by other players from the first squad reinforced with youngsters from Fabril (Felipe Ramos, Rochela, Seoane, Ínsua and Stopira); the first conclusion is that Javito is the only signing that has chances of been a starter on Saturday.

In one of the teams the ex-Aris was used as the playmaker performing towards the right wing, and he left a positive impression as he was constantly moving in attack. Xisco and Sand were part of the reserve team, and despite been involved in one of the goals in the training match, it’s pretty clear that they won’t be starters as Lotina believes that they need match fitness.

The second conclusion is that the only sure thing for the match against Getafe is the defensive zone; Aranzubia will be the starting keeper, and the rest will depend on the evolution of Laure the Madrilenian is dragging an ankle sprain injury and Lotina will decide today if he will be included in the final list for the game.

If Laure is fit to play, then Lotina will repeat the same defensive formation used against Sevilla, with the only novelty of Albert Lopo joining Diego Colotto and Aythami Artiles at the centre; but if Laure is not picked for the clash, then Lotina will switch back Manuel Pablo to the right-back position allowing the entry of Paraguayan Claudio Morel on the left side.

The third conclusion of the training is that Lotina hasn’t decided yet who should occupy the positions a midfield and attack, though it seems that Michel has a secure place at the starting eleven as he was the only attacking player that was tested in the two formations used during the session.

At midfield the coach tested three players, Juan Rodriguez, Ruben Perez and Juan Dominguez, for the two pivote positions, while in attack he tested with Adrian, Lassad and even Riki. One of these three men will surely be the central attacker, while the other two could end playing on the playmaking functions, though Javito and Michel are also strong candidates for it.
