Lotina and the players were content with the result as they were conscious that Osasuna was the best team on the pitch, but Depor’s coach was saying that his men must display a better football.

Coach Miguel Ángel Lotina was quite happy with the point added at Reyno de Navarra, "We are facing the most important phase on the season and all the teams at the bottom are nervous and anxious. We had a solid first part, going from the bottom to the top, but in the second we didn't do what we were supposed to do and Osasuna had a lot to do with it."

And what the coach didn’t like was the performance of his team during the second part, “We had more problems in the second half. We were playing through long throws and their central defenders were easily winning the ball. There were a few counterattacks with Riki, but nothing more. The best opportunities were for Osasuna. We simply couldn’t do what we wanted.”

Despite his previous words, Lotina was saying that he would like to play a better football, “These kinds of games aren’t easy to play; neither is easy to score goals against a rival like Osasuna. We could have ended without points after playing the last three games, but we added three draws, but it’s also true that I would have loved to play a more attractive football.”

“We were too opened at Getafe and returned home with our heads down. Still, we aren’t playing too much and must insist with our work, because it is necessary to have the ball possession, though on this opportunity it was difficult as the wind was against us throughout the second part. In order to have more arrivals it is necessary to have the ball.” He finalized.

Andrés Guardado was a starter for the second straight time, he was aware of the grey performance presented by Depor, “We are conscious that the team didn’t complete a solid presentation and that we deserved to lose, but obviously we must see the positive thing, which is that we didn’t lose; this is a difficult stadium and were facing a direct rival.”

The Mexican was also saying that now Depor needs to be a strong team at home, “We must accept the situation in which we are living and must take full responsibilities. At home is the place where we must always add the three points.”

Midfielder Michel was thinking that Deportivo was lucky enough to add a point on this confrontation against a direct rival, “We knew that it was going to be an ugly match, because both teams are facing a tough situation. And in the end we were able to hold on and even had a bit of luck to clinch the result.”

Aranzubia was thinking that Depor must try to play better, “We must be ambitious; thinking that we didn’t complete a good game and that we won’t obtain too many points if we perform like this. We must improve our game playing away from home. It isn’t easy to face a team like Osasuna, because they haven’t lost too many points at their stadium and even defeated Real Madrid. It isn’t an excuse, but still is a draw and we must think that to add a point is good.”

Meanwhile, Laure was commenting the match and also appointed to the Riazor as the key for the permanence, “It was a complicate game; they were pressing up front and wanted us to commit a mistake in order to create a scoring opportunity.  The result is good. Now, we must win at home, yes or yes. Following this path, combining home wins with draws away from home, the goal can be achieved soon.”

At Osasuna, coach Jose Luis Mendilibar was disappointed with the performance of his team, mainly in attack, “We must be more active in attack, must have more presence at the area, to arrive with more people from behind. It can be that we are throwing countless crosses and that we only have Lekic at the area to head the ball. The wingers must enter into the area if the ball is coming from the other side.”

He also explained why Iranian Masoud was replaced at the end of the first half, “He was losing too many passes in his attempts with the other midfielders, and what I want from the wingers is to be risky, but in attack, not with passes to the back zone. He was going to lose the security and also the rest of the team, without blaming anybody, I thought the best was to replace him.”

Midfielder Soriano was clearly expressing the frustration of the Navarrans after the game, “The rival has been trashy, it came for the draw and it did it at the end. It is a disappointment, because when we planned similar games to what they have done today we ended losing. It is a nuisance than a team that has done so little is in the end taking a point."

Albert Lopo will miss Monday’s clash against Real Sociedad for a suspension; the Catalan had nine yellow cards saw on the pitch during the whole season, but the competition committee in la liga gave a yellow card for lifting his shirt when he celebrated the goal against Villarreal, therefore the Catalan is now suspended. Curiously, his previous suspension on the liga competition occurred in the first round match played at Anoeta
