New decision of Oltra ahead of the Segunda season 2011/12: Fabril’s defender Raul Garcia will be loaned out, while Morel still out of the plans; therefore all appoints that Seoane is going to earn one of the spots at the first team.

22-year-old left-back defender Raul Garcia Carnero has been told that he will be loaned out for the season 2011/12. The youngster was called to make the pre-season with the first team and his hope was to earn a place at Depor’s senior squad, but now he will have to search for an opportunity outside of La Coruña.

The player talked to reporters and expressed his sadness after hearing the news, “I was hoping on having minutes as we were starting from zero with a new coach. It hurts me and this is a hard hit, but I have to raise the head. Anyway, now I have to clear out my ideas and mature as a football player and also as a person, so later I could return on next season. The club thinks that the best is to search for minutes at other place and we can just accept it.”

It was clear that the arrival of Ayoze Diaz meant that Depor was signing an starter for the position, while the role of substitute was going to be for Raul or for Paraguayan veteran Claudio Morel, but now the whole picture is changing, because neither Morel is staying as the club’s officials told to Riazor.org that the exit of Raul isn’t changing the plans with Morel, who was also told a couple of weeks ago that Oltra isn’t counting with him.

Now all appoints that another youngster coming from Deportivo B, Diego Seoane, will be the one having the chance to stay at Depor’s first team, this means that he will be the fourth side defender alongside Manuel Pablo, Ayoze and Laure.

About the near future of Raul, it was rumoured that some Segunda and Segunda B clubs were interested in him, so Depor will try to put the player in one of these clubs. The A Coruña-born side defender ends his contract in June of 2012, but the club has the option to extend the deal for three additional years, so he must now convince the club during his loan spell. It won’t be an new experience for him anyway, because Raul already spent one year loaned at Montañeros CF during the season 2008/09.

Raul has been at Deportivo since the year 2002 as he joined Infantil A squad and reached Depor B for the season 2009. During that year he had the chance to debut at the first team as former coach Miguel Ángel Lotina was having problems at defense after the serious injury of Filipe Luis, the boy managed to play five times at Primera and it was commented that he was going to be promoted for the past season, but instead he stayed at Fabril and was part of the team that suffered the relegation to Tercera División.
