Oltra will have to make one change due to the suspension of Ayoze, while Aranzubia suffered a shoulder problem though he will be available. Meanwhile, Huesca has several casualties for the meeting with Deportivo.

Ahead of the match with SD Huesca (Sunday, El Alcoraz, 12h00 CET), coach José Luis Oltra won’t be able to repeat the lineup in liga for a sixth straight time, this since Ayoze Díaz picked his tenth yellow card of the season during the past meeting with Xérez CD. The replacement will be ex-Fabril Diego Seoane, this since Paraguayan veteran Claudio Morel is not fit yet.

Morel was dragging a hip problem from last year, on Tuesday he was already training with the rest of the squad, but one day later he confessed to Radio Cadena Ser that he isn’t ready, It’s highly probable that I won’t be ready for Sunday. I have only participated in a few trainings. It won’t be possible. Next time I’ll be at 100%” He said.

The Paraguayan has only completed 135 minutes in liga during this season only been a starter once (1-2 at FC Cartagena, re-scheduled matchday 01), but neither Seoane has enjoyed of too many minutes; the Ourense-born defender has only completed 193 minutes on the Segunda season, and only appeared twice at the starting lineup: 4-0 Vs. CD Guadalajara (matchday 07) and 0-2 at CD Alcoyano (matchday 08); the interesting fact is that with Oltra he has always played at the right side of the defense and not at the left.

Another player out is Manuel Pablo, the Canarian side defender is dragging a muscular problem for the second-leg in Copa before Levante UD; Depor’s captain still working apart and will have to wait for next week in order to see if he receives the medical okay. Therefore, the only available side defenders for Sunday are Seoane and Laure, probably David Rochela will be the option on the bench as he has played before at the sides.

Also, on Tuesday’s training session keeper Dani Aranzubia sustained a muscular contusion on his left shoulder after a collision with Bruno Gama (photo taken by La Voz de Galicia); the goalie didn’t end the session and it was feared a major injury, especially since is the same shoulder that sidelined him for six games at the beginning of the past Primera season, but by Wednesday he was already fine and completed part of the training; so it’s expected that he will be the starting goalie on Sunday.

The visit to SD Huesca is feared by Depor’s fans due to its similarities with the previous visits to Alcoyano and Alcorcón; El Alcoraz is among the smallest stadiums at Segunda (7,840 spectators) and the temperature has been extremely low in Huesca (around Zero degrees Celsius). The true is that the first team won’t notice it as it has been training throughout the week in the cold pitch of Abegondo, on Tuesday the temperature was -2 degrees Celsius.

What might be disturbing is the trip to Huesca; it was impossible for the club to find a more direct route to the Aragonian city (53,040 inhabitants) and the journey has been divided in two parts, the first is a flight to Madrid, and then a bus trip of 390 Km. Totally the trip will last five and a half hours. Also, Huesca is the 21st Spanish city in terms of altitude (488 meters), it’s true that the altitude at A Coruña is only of 26 meters, but Depor already played at other “high” cities as Valladolid (698) and Madrid (655).

At Huesca, coach Enrique Hernández has several injury problems at his team, he could be missing up to five men for the meeting with Depor, starting with former Sporting Gijón Rafael Sastre, the right-back is out since December due to a muscular problem and hardly will arrive on time for Sunday as he isn’t training at the top; his brother, midfielder Lluís Sastre, is also sidelined due to a muscular problem.

Central defender David Rivas Rodriguez is also out of action after suffering a hamstring strain injury in the last training of 2011; he missed the clash with FC Cartagena (0-2), and will also miss the meetings with Depor and Hércules CF. Striker Roberto García is also out after picking a hamstring problem in the previous training before the last game before FC Cartagena.

To make things worse, left-back Rafael Clavero picked a muscular problem during Tuesday’s training and is doubtful for Sunday. At least the coach is recovering two pieces of the puzzle: ex-Osasuna central defender José Romero Urtasun ‘Josetxo’ and midfielder Joaquín Sorribas, duo that’s returning from suspension. Multifunctional side defender José Antonio Llamas is also available after arriving during the winter window; he already played for 22 minutes against FC Cartagena.

Finally, to mention that, as always, the clubs are still trying to cash some money with the visit of Deportivo; the club declared the match as “half-day for the socio”, which means that everybody, including the socios of Huesca, have to pay in order to see the match. The argument is that an historic club in Spain is visiting El Alcoraz stadium. The ticket prices are between the 12 and the 33 Euros, it was also planned to offer a lunch before the game –the game is at noon- so far the Aragonian club has informed that it already sold an important number of tickets, though it didn’t clarified how many.
