NEW HOPES FOR NENE’S ARRIVAL? ALAVES SIGNS REPLACEMENT

08 Jun 2006
A few days back Deportivo Alaves’ president Dmitry Piterman rejected a 4,5 million Euro bid by Depor. Now he signed a replacement for Nene’s position. A good sign?

THE PLAYER’S AGENT SEES NENE IN LA CORUNA SOON

It seems like Deportivo’s intention to sign Nen?© isn’t one of that short stories, but rather an ongoing saga– but hopefully with a good ending. The player’s agent confirmed from Brazil that he is indeed convinced that Nen?© will wear the Depor shirt next season. â€?The question is rather â€?whenâ€? than â€?ifâ€?, Carlos Antonio Cardoso was quoted. â€?Right now the world of football is looking towards Germany for the World Cup and everything else will stand still. But I hope that Nen?© will come to La Coru?±a shortly after the conclusion of the World Cup.â€?

Cardoso has also made it clear that there have been negotiations between Nen?© and the president of Alaves, Dmitry Piterman, and that Nen?© has expressed his wish to leave Alaves for playing for another Spanish team.
Nene’s preferred club seems to be Deportivo. â€?Nen?© is very keen on playing for Deportivo and although he is also highly interested in competing in the Champions League, he wants to go to a team like Deportivo.â€?

The player’s agent also talked about Deportivo’s bid that was rejected by Piterman. â€?It wouldn’t surprise me if Deportivo has indeed offered 4,5 million Euro. Deportivo has shown the most interest of all clubs for Nen?© and if Piterman rejected the 4,5 million Euro offer, it will be because he wants to get more money. However, I think a 5 million Euro bid would be a very interesting offer for Alaves.â€?

REPLACEMENT FOR NENE ALREADY SIGNED

A fact that should provide some hope for the Deportivo faithful is that Alaves has apparently already signed a replacement for Nen?©. Tiago Gentil, a Brazilian with Italian nationality has been signed for the next four seasons. And he’s playing on the left wing, exactly the position preferred by Nen?©. Could it be that Nen?© will be transferred soon to another club, too – to Deportivo?
