Oltra is keeping both feet on the ground, though he was emphasizing the great game of his men; meanwhile the players were pretty happy for breaking the mark of straight victories at the club.

Coach Jose Luis Oltra was extremely happy with the performance of his team, mainly with the things done in the first half, “We made a first part for the book of records, it was perfect for Deportivo, having personality, the ball possession and arrivals, not suffering and we reached the half-time mark with a two-goal advantage. The result could have been bigger.”

“Later, Hércules, which is a very solid team, scored a goal and made us suffer a bit, because they reduced the distance. It was the most delicate moment for us, because we weren’t feeling comfortable, though later we regained the control over the ball; we were ambitious with our counterattacks and that’s why we sentenced the meeting.” He added.

The Valencian coach also praised the great work of Aranzubia, but didn’t think that it was the key for the victory, “Aranzubia is there in order to make the saves, and he did it at the key moments, but I don’t think we won just for him. I would love to emphasize that we were faithful to an idea and to a playing style, playing before an important rival that hasn’t been discarded in the fight for promotion, not even for the automatic promotion spots.”

Finally, Oltra was keeping the speech towards the goal of the season, “Off course what we have done has its value, we scored four goal at the home of the second best defense; and we could have scored more taking in mind other plays, like the shot of Colotto that hi the post, it’s pretty difficult to achieve eight straight victories, but we will only value it if at the end of the season we achieve the goal.”

Diego Seoane was content with the performance of Deportivo, “I am happy for have participated in this victory. We were fine in the first part, in the second the team was disordered, but the game ended after the 1-3. If I’ve continuity then I know that I can offer more of what I am offering.”

Daniel Aranzubia was an important player in the game with his saves; he said that, “I’m satisfied as we defeated the only team that has won at the Riazor. We suffered in the second half, but we are living our best moment on the season. When we are fine and is difficult to see them stopping us.”

Juan Carlos Valerón explained what happened during the game, “The victory was based in a very solid first half; in the second they have played better, they were attacking us by the wings. We knew how to suffer and later killed the game through the counterattack. It was difficult to win, for us it’s an important triumph before a great rival. A lot still ahead, but the promotion passes for following this path.”

Álex Bergantiños was content for the victory; he wrote on his Twitter account that, “Long trip back to A Coruña! But we are happy for the victory. This is one more little step, but a lot still ahead for us: 18 more finals. Let’s keep going!”

Meanwhile, Juan Dominguez was saying that, “We faced the Hércules that we were waiting to see, unless for fifteen or twenty minutes, in the rest of the game we have controlled the actions without problems. It has been an important victory before a direct rival. We are on the right track and I’m proud for entering into the history of Deportivo.”

Riki scored a brace in the match; he was sharing the view of Oltra related to the winning streak of Depor, “It’s the most important streak in the history of Deportivo, but it’s just anecdotal. It has a lot of merit to chain eight straight wins, but if we don’t achieve the promotion then no one will remember it. It’s something to be proud and let’s hope we can extend the rally.”

At Hércules, and despite the big score, coach Juan Carlos Mandiá was content with the performance of his players, “We had a good moment in the game that could had put us back into the match, and it’s that it was close with the 2-1, but the true is that they had a very good day and Aranzubia, their goalkeeper, has made a great game. Sometimes the hard hits help you to improve. I believe our current situation is good, less games on the schedule and each day I see that the players are better.”

Striker Urko Vera scored the goal of his team, but he was unhappy with the collective performance of Hércules, “The key for the game was the first goal, it was a big weight for us. We weren’t the same team of always; we were out of the game. To allow the first two goals forced us to search for the comeback and we left plenty of spaces for their counterattack, just as it happened in the games before Elche and Valladolid.”
