Oltra admitted that his team faced problems during the meeting, but once again denying that he suffered within the final minutes. The players were content with the final result, while Lendoiro was keeping the promise of gifts to the socios.

Coach José Luis Oltra admitted that things were difficult in this match, “We warned that it was going to be a very difficult match due to the entity of the rival, a rival that arrived strong to the Riazor. It’s more difficult to face a team with a high esteem, it has a lot of confidence and besides it has nothing to lose and a lot to win in a full stadium like ours.”

“We weren’t fine in the first part, basically because we were unable to practice our game and combine. They put a lot of pressure and also know how to move the ball. The score at half-time wasn’t according to what was happening in the game. Our goals came from the wings, with depth and punch. Perhaps you will think I’m crazy, but the second half was great. The team had scoring opportunities, maybe less than what we wanted, but the team had criterion with the ball, until Alcorcón scored.” He added.

Once again the Valencian coach was saying that he never suffered despite Alcorcón pushed within the final minutes, “You may had the feeling that we were suffering due to the narrow score, but I, again, didn’t suffer as I saw things clear on the pitch, because I see one team commanding the other. We have achieved three great points and it has a merit.”

Finally, Oltra said that the team was never affected by the previous defeat at Sabadell, “The match at Sabadell is forgotten and there were no doubts within the first minutes, though we didn’t have things clear with the output of the ball, I mean with the passes. If you have in mind the global results you can’t lose confidence for only one game. It was hard for us to arrive, to make straight passes, and the team made the right things in the two chances that we had, when you have quality it happens what it happened.”

Diogo Salomão was a starter replacing Guardado; he was content with his performance, “I was waiting for a long time for this opportunity and felt great on the pitch. I feel confident and want to continue demonstrating things. It’s hard to beat us at our place, because we are strong.”

The other Portuguese winger at the team, Bruno Gama, was also content with the performance of the team, “I felt great as we won and also because I scored. The goals are great in order to earn confidence. I want to keep playing and working hard in order to achieve our goal.”

Centre midfielder Álex Bergantiños believes that Depor should have scored a third goal in order to avoid the final suffering, “In the end the team suffered, as always. If we would have scored the third, as in the occasion of Juan Dominguez or in any other action, then things would have been easier. Once again they scored against us doing too little. Oriol Riera defined the play and we suffered a bit.”

Juan Dominguez shared the opinion of his partner at midfield, but believes that the only thing that mattered was to achieve the points, “Truly we have suffered before a brave rival, but the important thing was to achieve the three points, and that’s exactly what we did.”

President Augusto César Lendoiro was impressed with the performance of Alcorcón, he even said that it´s a rival to be considered for the playoffs, “Alcorcón has demonstrated that we should count with them for the top places, it was a very important victory for the team. Let’s see if we can now clinch a good rally of results as we visit Guadalajara. We are in March and this could be the month for the flowers.”

He also promised gifts for the socios after the club surpassed the mark of 25,000 during the past week, “We are thinking of the gifts for our socios, and we hope that by the middle of the month we could have a meeting in order to reveal details of how things are. Before day 15 we want to start with this and to see everybody having their gift, it’s a pride to reach this mark.”

At Alcorcón, coach Juan Antonio Anquela was content with the performance of his team and was also praising Deportivo, “It happened what should have happened if we were going to commit mistakes. We lost, because we committed two punctual errors that Depor seized and I believe that my team deserved more..”

“I’m leaving satisfied and proud of the work done my team, but also of the way we behave in a field of Primera, and before a group of fans that aren’t from Primera, but from the Champions League. The stronger point is their stadium and for this reason they must lie down at Primera.” He ended.
