Guardado has scored nine goals in liga and already gave ten assists, which means that he only needs one goal to reach the double digits. The last player at Depor that did the same was Djalminha during the season 1999/2000.

The second goal in the Galician derby before RC Celta meant the tenth assist of Andrés Guardado on the present Segunda season. The Mexican winger is now the fourth best assistor at Liga Adelante 2011/2012 after De Lucas (RC Celta), Jonathan Viera (UD Las Palmas) and Julio Álvarez (CD Numancia), this trio has given eleven assists in the competition.

Guardado has also scored nine goals on this league season; he firstly scored consecutive goals before Barcelona B (matchday 04) and CE Sabadell (matchday 05), then added another one before CD Guadalajara (matchday 07). Then, after been silent for a couple of months, the ex-Atlas man scored five goals in six games: Elche CF (matchday 14), UD Almeria (matchday 15), CD Numancia (matchday 17), UD Las Palmas (matchday 18) and CD Xérez (matchday 19).

The left winger also gave an assist in the 5-1 splash over Girona FC in Copa Del Rey, which takes his global count to nine goals and eleven assists on the season 2011/12, so he only needs one more goal in order to reach the double digits in the two main offensive departments.

The last player that clinched a double-digit marks at Deportivo was Djalma Feitosa Dias ‘Djalminha’ during the season 1999/00, the same one that meant the only liga title of Deportivo. In that opportunity the Brazilian playmaker scored ten goals and also gave ten assists in liga, and computing all the competitions Djalminha ended scoring thirteen goals plus giving eleven assists.

On that campaign Djlama scored goals in the liga meetings before Real Madrid (2), CD Malaga (2), Alavés, RCD Mallorca, Real Oviedo, Sevilla CF, Real Valladolid and Real Zaragoza. Meanwhile the assists came in the matches against Atletico Madrid (2), Alavés, RCD Mallorca, Barcelona FC, Sevilla CF, RC Celta, RCD Mallorca, Atletico Madrid and Real Sociedad.

In the UEFA Cup the only assist of Djalminha occurred in the 2-0 victory over Danish side Stabæk IF, while the goals were scored before French club Montpellier-Hérault SC (3-1), Greek side Panathinaïkós AO (4-2) and English giant Arsenal FC (1-5).
