Striker Xisco will probably be a starter against Elche CF; the Majorcan player talked to reporters about his current season and also confessed that the relegation is a thorn that he wants to remove with the promotion to Primera División.

Xisco has big options of been a starter in the clash against Elche CF; it will be his third appearance as a starter on this liga season. He talked to reporters on Wednesday and confessed that the relegation was a hard hit for him, "We won't be able to contain the emotions if we clinch the promotion. The relegation is a thorn, the worst moment in my career, a very tough moment and I hope to clinch the promotion, because I´ll remove a big weight from me."

The Majorcan also said that Depor’s players must stay alert no matter the promotion is looking closer, “We can’t be overconfident despite the euphoria after winning the derby. It seems that everything is done, but the team must keep fighting and having both feet on the ground, because we still have to play some tough matches.”

“If we succeed in the next three games playing with solvency [Elche CF, UD Almeria and Real Valladolid], then things will be easier in order to achieve the promotion. The first thing is to defeat Elche, a rival that already beat us in the first round.” He added.

About the rival for Sunday, the Majorcan striker warned that Elche is a team full of experience, “They have quality players, with plenty of confidence and experience; it’s true that they have just changed the coach, and that’s something that always bring some fresh air when you passing through a bad streak, so we can’t rely that this is going to be an easy match.”

Finally, Xisco believes that it will be great to have more options in this last stretch of the season, “It seems that I could have more options than in previous occasions, but in the end the one that decides is the coach. I am available and ready for everything. Eight games are remaining in the schedule, and these games are important as we play for everything and the best is to be available now rather than been ready at the start of the season.”

“It could be unfair, but people usually remember more the last ten games, the ones played at the end of the season, and now I hope to have a more protagonic role. Right now I am not thinking of returning to Newcastle, it will be an error to think beyond June 30, but it’s true that what I want is to play at Deportivo for many years.” He added.
