The huge victory visiting Pontevedra CF is increasing the chances of Deportivo B in order to take part of the promotion playoffs to Segunda B. Three matchdays still to be played, three finals to determine the faith of Fabril.

Deportivo B has increased its promotion options after clinching five straight victories at group one of Tercera División; the last win was a huge triumph as Depor’s youngsters defeated direct rival Pontevedra CF playing at Pasarón. That result is leaving Fabril third at the standings, but things are not done yet as only three points are separating four teams (Depor B, RC Villalbés, CCD Cerceda and Pontevedra CF).

Only three matchdays are remaining in the calendar, in the next two Depor B is facing rivals trying to survive: CD Lalin at Abegondo and Cultural Areas at Abegondo. Both rivals must not only avoid the last four spots at the standings, but must also watch out the possible relegation of Galician clubs from Segunda B, because the possible relegation of Celta B, Montañeros and even Coruxo could drag other three teams to the lower division.

And the last game on the season will be against leaders CD Ourense, side that still battling with Alondras CF for the first place, a great reward because the leaders at Tercera have a more accessible road as they only need one playoff series in order to clinch the promotion.

The other three direct rivals for the last two playoff spots are also facing rivals at the bottom of the standings; CCD Cerceda has to play two straight games outside home (UD Somozas and Órdenes SD) and ends the season hosting CD Dordena.

RC Villalbés is hosting Cultural Areas and SD Negreira, and in the middle it has a tough meeting visiting leaders CD Ourense. Finally, Pontevedra CF has to pay a visit to Betanzos CF and UD Somozas, and in the middle it will host last place Club Xuventú Sanxenxo, side that’s already relegated.

The good thing for coach Tito Ramallo is that he is not having too many injury problems as it happened at the beginning of the season. Currently he has the casualties of Adriá Gallego, Diego Vieytes (both knee), David Garcia (shoulder) and Luis Fernandez (knee).  For the upcoming game before CD Lalin he will miss striker David Cubillas due to suspension, but is recovering Iago Beceiro, who was sent off in the pat game against CD Dordena.
