There have been a lot of rumours regarding the future of Colotto, from his possible continuity at Depor to a possible arrival to Mexican club Cruz Azul. The club is also waiting for news on Lux, the other player that was offered a renewal.

Deportivo doesn’t know yet if Argentine players Diego Colotto and German Lux will continue at the club ahead of the season 2012/13. The club presented renewal offers to both of them, but until this point there has been no answer.

Colotto has been linked with several clubs, from Mexican outfit Cruz Azul to recently relegated Villarreal CF; meanwhile Lux has been linked with his former club CA River Plate.  For now Depor is patiently waiting for an answer, but will have to search for other options if both parties don’t reach an agreement in the coming weeks.

Central defender Colotto has been at Depor for the past four seasons been a fixed starter within the last three years. His departure would be an important casualty for Oltra ahead of the returning campaign to Primera División.

But this Argentine duo isn’t the only one ending contract in June 30; there are other four cases: left-back defenders Claudio Morel and Raul Garcia, plus right winger Pablo Álvarez and striker Lassad Nouioui.

Lassad rejected the offer from Depor and has been linked with clubs in France, while neither Morel nor Pablo Álvarez will continue at Deportivo as the club already decided to allow their exit. In the cause of Raul the player has said that he wants to continue, though the club hasn’t contacted him yet.

There are other three cases of players that were loaned during the season that has just ended: centre midfielder Borja Fernández, left winger Diogo Salomão and striker Francisco Jiménez ‘Xisco´. About these three men, the only thing know is that Deportivo is negotiating the continuity of Salomão, it’s even rumoured that the Galician club is open to negotiate the final transfer of the winger that belongs to Sporting CP.
