Diogo Salomão will continue at Deportivo for at least one more season; Depor has extended the loan spell with Sporting CP and also expects to close the operation with André Santos as soon as possible. Also, fresh news at the centre of the defense.

Depor Sport announced on Wednesday that Deportivo and Sporting CP have reached an agreement in order to extend the loan spell of Diogo Salomão at Deportivo. During this week it was rumoured that the Galician club was trying to arrange the final transfer of the winger, but in the end both clubs have only negotiated a new loan.

Salomão was a regular starter in the first part of the past Segunda season, but later lost the spot before Bruno Gama; still he scored four goals and provided three assists in the Segunda tournament and now, with the exit of Andrés Guardado, he should have a more protagonic role in the returning campaign of Deportivo to Primera División.

It was speculated that centre midfielder André Santos was going to arrive on Wednesday to La Coruña and later will be presented, but the arrival was delayed; apparently Deportivo and Sporting CP haven’t closed yet all the details of the loan operation. The Portuguese centre midfielder should be the first new signing of the season 2012/13.

Meanwhile, Sportpaper Deporte Campeón informed that Deportivo has presented a new and final renewal offer to Diego Colotto. The Argentine central defender wasn’t convinced by the previous offer and he has been linked with other clubs like Mexican Cruz Azul and Villarreal CF. The intention of the club is to close this case on this week.

And it seems that the club already has a plan B in case of not reaching an agreement with Colotto: Valentin Sébastien Roger (25, CS Maritimo). Deporte Campeón and Radio Galega informed on Tuesday that Deportivo has targeted the French centre back as the alternative to cover the vacancy.
