Chaos in A Coruña as RC Celta only released 800 tickets for Depor’s fans in order to attend to the derby that will be played in Balaidos. The tickets were sold in a matter of 12 hours under the rain and the protests of the fans.

RC Celta only released 800 tickets for the derby against Deportivo that will be played in two weeks at Balaidos; last year the number of ticket for the derby was the double, but for this season Celta’s officials argue that they have more socios, reason why they’re releasing lesser tickets for the rivals.

Deportivo’s fans in A Coruña didn’t like this, neither that the club decided to sell the tickets just 24 hours later and almost without warning. The club announced on Monday’s afternoon that the tickets were going to be sold since Tuesday’s morning.

In the end there was a long at the Riazor on Tuesday’s morning in order to buy a ticket, each one costing €40, it was raining and some socios were unable to get a ticket as they had to work. In order to prevent problems the club was only selling one ticket for each person at he lane; by 1PM there were only 100 tickets available and the rest was sold in the afternoon.

Some fans criticized the fact that the tickets were sold almost without warning, also that some of the people that bought tickets were already reselling them; in Twitter a socio was  already reselling his ticket for €120.  The weird thing is that la liga hasn’t announced yet the exact date of the match –Oct 27, 28 or 29-; the hour of the game will be known on Thursday, same day in which the Spanish federation will make the draw for the last-32 round in Copa del Rey.
