The Uruguayan striker wants to prove Caparrs right, who puts confidence in him. Pablo lvarez and Jorge Andrade were at Abegondo, too. Alvarez isnt sure about when he will be able to play, but will travel with the team to Isla Canela.

Sebastian Taborda, Albert Lopo and Javier Arizmendi were the Depor players that went through the pre-season medicals yesterday. Furthermore, Jorge Andrade and Sebastian Taborda were present to continue with their recuperation from their respective injuries.

The Uruguayan striker has, without any doubt, a very important season ahead of him. Sidelined through most parts of the season due to various injuries, this is practically his first full season in La Coruna. Without a doubt. Fortunately, I was able to train with the team I played for in Uruguay (Defensor) and I had no problems. The injury is totally healed and the only thing thats still missing is the physical shape for playing in Primera Divisin. But thats normal because I couldnt play for a very long time, Taborda stated.

Taborda also confirmed that it felt very good to see coach Caparrs putting confidence in him for the next season and he wants to pay back the coachs confidence with good performances and goals on the pitch. Im very excited about playing and I desire it a lot. Now I have a period ahead of me to regain my physical shape, but you cannot describe the level of desire I have to play for Depor. Its very nice to hear the words from Caparrs. I hope I can respond in the best possible way, gain a place in the starting line-up and be with my teammates. In this sense, I suffered a lot during the last season, always looking in from outside the pitch.

Lastly, the Uruguayan striker spoke about the possible incorporation of his compatriot Fabian Estoyanoff. I hope that this deal will materialise. He is a friend of mine since we played together and he could help the team a lot.

Pablo Alvarez will be another new face at Deportivo this season. A long-term injury that ruled him out for the last few months already will postpone his debut for Deportivo though. Its now 2 months since I had surgery on my leg and it is developing well. Doctor Barral is supervising the healing process and according to him, its all well so Im happy with that. I dont think its a good idea to give specific dates about when I can play again. You have to go step-by-step, hoping for a good healing process without any fallbacks.

For me, its a joy to be here, its a very important step in my career. Although, obviously, I would have wished for a better start of my time in La Coruna. But Im sure that with the help of the medical staff, Ill be able to play in the foreseeable future.
Ultimately, Alvarez confirmed that he doesnt know whether he will be included in the squad of those 25 players eligible to play until December, but that he will be traveling with the team to the pre-season camp at Isla Canela. The idea of the coach and the doctor is that I will travel with the team, and Im very excited to do so.
