Oltra and his players were content with the point added at San Mamés; Depor’s coach was talking of a fair result. Different was the opinion of Bielsa and Llorente as they are convinced that Athletic deserved the victory.

Coach José Luis Oltra was content and was talking of justice with the final result, “In the first part the team was organized and serious, though we missed depth to end the plays. The rival had more pace; they didn’t have too many chances, but took the lead with the opportunity they had. In the second half we had more intention and arrival; Athletic had its chances, but we also had opportunities and could have even scored more goals. The fair thing was the draw.”

“Everybody has brought things and we were able to stop a team with several options in attack. In the first part there was order and we only missed more depth. In the second we had more arrivals, though Athletic also had its opportunities. It was a highly disputed game between two teams that wanted to victory until the final whistle. I’m leaving satisfied, not only for the point added, which is pretty good, but also for the way in which we competed.” He added.

Finally, Oltra was satisfied with the debuts of Roderick and Insua, “Both Roderick and Aythami almost made a perfect match. They were great. I’m content with them, Insua has the skills to be an important professional and also has an excellent future.”

Valerón was also content with the final result, “For us it was pretty important to not lose, and we knew how to react after the things were twisted in the first part. In the second half we tried and were braver, in this way we scored the equalizer and had more chances. It's tough to face Athletic on here, but in the end we grabbed the draw.”

“Let's hope this will be a turning point; the result is bringing confidence; we weren't fine, but neither we were bad. Let's hope we can win the next game at home. The result is fair. They caused many problems in the first part, and we were better in the second. It could have been decided in any isolated play." El Flaco added.

Bodipo entered in the second half and was close to score; he said that, “We’re content, because this is a stadium that puts a lot of pressure and we were coming after a negative streak. If we win next Sunday then this result will be great. I believe this was a positive result for us. We aren’t going to surrender and will give everything.”

Meanwhile, Pablo Insua made his debut at Primera División playing the final eleven minutes; he wrote on his Twitter account that, “I´m pretty content for debuting at Primera with Depor and playing in a field like San Mamés. It’s a dream come true! Many thanks to everybody.”

Abel Aguilar was content with the goal that he scored, mainly as it meant to add a point; the Colombian midfielder wrote on his Twitter account that, “A goal that’s helpful to add points! With hard work and sacrifice from the whole team… and also the fans of Depor! They are always cheering us up.. Thanks everybody!”

On Monday the Colombian talked to reporters at Abegondo and said that, “This is too long and the results brings confidence as we are currently out of relegation, which means that things were made fine and that we need to improve in order to keep adding positive results and bring more confidence.  It’s important to be solid at defense. At Primera you need to be solid. There are teams that achieve results based in being strong at defense. We, for the characteristics of our attackers, have a different style, but must be solid too.”

Marc Martinez was the other Fabril’s player in the list for the game; he didn’t had the chance to debut, but was content for been at San Mamés, “Good result in the Cathedral of football! It’s incredible the great environment and I’m pretty happy for living this! Thanks to all the fans that travelled to San Mamés.” He wrote on his Twitter account.

At Athletic, Marcelo Bielsa wasn’t happy with the final result, “The game was winnable and we deserved to win, so you end up with a feeling of impotence. This isn’t a new scenario for us on this season. Against similar or inferior teams it was the same and it creates inhibition to constantly try to explain why we can’t obtain what we deserve. We had up to ten chances and it isn’t a small thing.”

“We defended pretty well; we had more recoveries and intensity in the game. The ball possession was alternative, there was patience and without hurries. All that construction demands a different finale, but we didn’t achieve it.” The Argentine coach added.

Fernando Llorente finally talked to reporters and also said that his team deserved the victory, “We did the merits to win; we made the sacrifice and had enough chances to win and also missed aim. The team made a great match and we were superior. If we continue playing like this, then we won’t have problems to win more games. I didn’t achieve what I pretended, which was to score a goal for my team.”
