Despite the elimination, Oltra was content with the performance of his players; for him Deportivo deserved to pass to the next round due to the things done in both legs. Caparrós hopes this result will end the negative streak lived at Mallorca.

Coach José Luis Oltra was content with the performance of his team and believes that his men deserved to pass the round, “It’s evident that we had more opportunities. In a general sense Deportivo was the side that had more merits to pass the round. The team wanted the victory and we just missed more aim at the final meters.”

“There’s no doubt that Deportivo was the team that sought for the goal and to advance into the next round. We’re eliminated without losing any game, a pity, but this is football. Mallorca just played with the result of the first-leg and made a serious game at the Riazor, and here they did the same. I congratulate them and wish the best form them in the coming matches.” He added.

The Valencian coach was convinced that his players completed a solid presentation in Majorca, “I cannot reclaim anything to the team. We have left a positive impression, because we wanted to win, and the only thing that we missed was to score a goal. We’re leaving with our heads up after competing at the top. We’re going out reinforced. It’s useful the fact that we clinched a clean sheet. It’s cheering us up and reinforces our playing style and philosophy.”

Pablo Insua debuted as a starter with the first team; he left a positive impression playing alongside Aythami; the defender from Fabril wrote on his Twitter account that, “A pity the final result; I do believe that we deserved a goal. I am also content for enjoying the full 90 minutes. Many thanks to everybody.”

Jesús Vázquez addressed the media after Friday’s training; he commented that, “Yes, the competition is over, it would have been pretty good to pass the round, but it wasn’t possible. The goal of the first game was too much weight for us. The true is that we deserved it. I am content because I played. We failed and now we must think of Betis, because we play for a lot of things on Sunday.”

At Mallorca, Joaquin Caparrós was content with the pass to the next round and didn’t care how it was, “The important thing was that we advanced; the draw was positive and were able to clinch a clean sheet; we are in the next round thanks to the goal scored at the Riazor, which was very useful. Little by little we are changing the dynamic into more positive results.”

“Truly this team needs to improve and fix some issues, but for me the important thing is that we clinched a clean sheet. The pass to the next round is bringing some tranquility, this before facing Sunday’s game. We will recover some people and prepare Sunday’s match.” The Andalusian coach added.
