Domingos Paciência is having four casualties ahead of the match at the Reyno de Navarra, while Ayoze is returning from an injury. Osasuna will miss five players for the match and De Las Cuevas could debut on Sunday.

The second round in la liga begins with the visit of Deportivo to Pamplona in order to face CA Osasuna (Sunday, 12h00 CET). It’s a crucial match between the two last places at the standings, so it’s important to win, but either not to lose. It’s also Depor’s visiting match No. 700 playing at Primera División.

For the meeting coach Domingos Paciência is having four confirmed casualties; left-back Evaldo Fabiano is out after picking the fifth yellow card of the season on the past game against Real Sociedad. The club appealed the second yellow, but on Wednesday the competition committee rejected the appeal and confirmed the suspension. Also, the player was fined 600 Euros.

Then, there are three players injured, right-back Laureano Sanabria ´Laure’ (groin) and right winger Saul Fernandez (adductor) remain sidelined, and they have been joined by centre midfielder Abel Aguilar, who’s dragging a grade I muscle strain on his right thigh; the Colombian already missed the past game against Real Sociedad due to suspension.

But left-back Ayoze Diaz (adductor) is returning after a month out, however he isn’t totally fit, which means that Sílvio Azevedo will probably debut as an starter. Also, the doubt for Sunday’s match is centre-back Carlos Marchena, who didn’t train on Wednesday and Thursday due to an adductor injury. Riki skipped Thursday’s training due to a muscle problem, but it was only a precautionary measure.

The Reyno de Navarra on Tuesday
There’s some concern regarding the weather conditions for the match, during the week the temperature has been 4 degrees centigrade; for Sunday it’s expected that the temperature would rise to 8 degrees, but also that it will be raining during the game, but coach José Luis Mendilibar is more worried of the casualties hitting his squad.

There are five players already out of the game: Ghanaian centre midfielder Anthony Annan (African Cup), side defender Oier Sanjurjo (suspension), goalkeeper Asier Riesgo (toe fracture) and winger Sisinio Gónzalez ‘Sisi’ (knee ligaments injury). The last name added to the list of casualties is centre midfielder David Timor, who suffered a muscle injury on Thursday, a problem that might sideline him for a couple of months. To make things worse midfielder/winger Emiliano Armenteros also got injured on Thursday (psoas), now he’s doubtful for Sunday.

Besides, centre midfielder Roland Lamah has just been loaned out to Premier Club Swansea City AFC. Riesgo and Sisi are long-term injuries, so the club decided to hire veteran goalie Ricardo López, who was without a club, and Miguel De Las Cuevas, who arrived loaned from Sporting Gijón. Ricardo debuted against Real Madrid and is currently doubtful due to a Soleus injury. At least playmaker Masoud Shojaei and centre midfielder Roberto Torres are back after both surpassed a muscle problem.
