Fernando Vázquez and his players were satisfied with the victory; they were optimistic after clinching back-to-back wins, but at the same time they are aware that nothing has been achieved and that the team needs to keep fighting.

Coach Fernando Vázquez assured that the first goal of Mallorca awoke his team after a doubtful start, “You know… the goal could have been helpful, because since that point we equalized and begun to be the best team. Mallorca claimed the lead; everything was lost and could have been helpful. Until this point they were the superior side.”

“But my  team did everything they know in order to win the match, and in the end, after completing a good second half, we did it. We wanted to win; we came here in order to win. This is what we were looking for, because we bet Celta, we won on here and now we remain in the fight.” He added.

The Galician tactician conscious that the situation of both teams is difficult, so he admits that there’s tension in the environment, “If Mallorca is anxious then let’s imagine how we are; I don’t know, these are physiological factors that are difficult to measure, but truly Mallorca is living a complicate situation, just like us.”

Finally, Vázquez is aware that this was an important result, though he also said that nothing has been achieved yet, “After winning here and against Celta we are approaching a little bit to the permanence. We were a little far and needed to win on here. We have won in Majorca, but haven’t achieved anything yet. Anyhow we bet Mallorca in the tie-breaker, which could be important at the end of la liga.”

Riki entered into the history of the club becoming the tenth best scorer at Primera with Depor; about the issue he commented that, “I´m content with the victory. I scored the goal that meant the win and I’m also content for entering into the history of the club. It’s a pride to me. For me the joy is that my goal was helpful to clinch the victory, I am part of Deportivo's history now and it was a perfect day."

About the match, the Madrilenian attacker said that, “We don’t have doubts and the team isn't dead as we work hard. We demonstrated it today and now must look forward to Zaragoza. The team scored early in the second part and I believe that it conditioned the game, we could have scored more goals, and it was a pity they scored and forced us to suffer until the end. “

“We must look to Zaragoza now and the people will surely support us in next Saturday’s match; clearly the fans will help us as they will motivate us. They cannot win the game, but we surely can do it with their support. The team was able to react after their goal and we clinched the comeback. “ He added.

Juan Carlos Valerón was optimistic after clinching two straight victories, “We know we must keep going and that it will be tough, but these two victories are allowing us to see the light. After all that had happened we knew that it was an important game. We must recognize that a couple of weeks ago we were seeing that things were very dark, now let’s see if we can clinch the feat.”

Centre midfielder Juan Dominguez had a solid performance in the clash; he said that Depor haven’t achieved anything yet, “There's no party as we remain in relegation, but this is an important step forward. We are content, but nothing has been achieved yet, because a lot still ahead. “

“We must remain calm. These three points are vital as we were facing a direct rival. We began losing and, apart from the three points, the comeback brings morale to the squad and we’ll continue pushing.” The Galician midfielder added.

Sílvio Azevedo talked when the team arrived to A Coruña; he said that the players are regaining the hope, “The last two victories are encouraging us; there’s hope at the group now. I arrived here without minutes and neither with the legs to run, but now I have more minutes and feel much better; I felt fine in order to help.”

At RCD Mallorca, coach Gregorio Manzano was saying that the result is painful for his team, “In the most awaited day things didn’t work out for us due to several motives. We wanted to bring joy to the fans, they were great, but we missed continuity in our game; we played intermittently and lost the balance in those peaks that turn to be so harmful. The result is painful, but we must continue; we cannot lower the arms.”

“It was positive to claim the lead, but later the team lacked control, especially in the second and third goal of Deportivo. There was confusion and the team didn’t find the way to get back into the game; the lines lost the balance, the passes were incorrect and we also lacked speed with our game.  In any case we remain three points below the team marking the relegation, Zaragoza, and we all are making our calculations; we are just one match away.” The Andalusian trainer added.

The federation of peñas organized a welcome in order to thank the players for the victory in Majorca; the team trained early in the morning at the sporting city of RCD Mallorca, later they flied to Santiago and were welcomed by 500 fans at the Riazor.
