PREVIEW: FABRIL – TUILLA (PLAYOFF)

09 Jun 2013
First-leg in the second round of the playoffs; Depor B face the Champion of the Asturian group having the important casualty of Teles. The rival is also having one important casualty at their squad.

Deportivo B face the second round of the playoffs with a reinforced optimism after surpassing the tough exam of UD Cornella. Coach José Luis Devesa is having two casualties for the game, the main one is centre midfielder Paulo Teles, who already missed the second-leg before the Catalans as he’s dragging an injury.

Left-back Ángel Martinez is also out of the game as he was sent off on the past weekend. Both absences are affecting the left-back position, because Adrián Martinez is the normal starter for that spot, but he is also the normal substitute of Teles, so the coach will have to improvise.

At the same time there are good news, because right winger Diego Vela and playmaker Jorge Romay are back after skipping the last match due to injury reasons, while striker Luis Fernandez and keeper Marc Martinez are fit to play after been dragging knocks during the week.

It’s expected a 4-2-3-1 draw for the match, with Marc Martinez keeping the spot at the goal,Vela should return to the right-back position, while José Manuel should be the one claiming the spot at the left. Uxío Marcos and Pablo Insua have a secure place at the centre of the defense.

Adrián Martinez should be joining Oumar Sidibé at midfield, the hope for the goals is located in the diamond figure up front. With Álvaro Lemos attacking from the right wing, Víctor Diaz doing it from the left, Romay in the playmaking position and Luis is the central attacker. The list of picked players include Bicho and Dani Iglesias from Juvenil A.

Picked players for the game: Marc Martinez, Ricky Alonso (goalkeepers); Vela, Iván, José Manuel, Uxio, Insua (defenders); Adrián Martínez, Sidibé, Lemos, Bicho, Víctor, Jorge Cano, Romay (midfielders); Luis Fernández & Dani Iglesias (strikers)

The rival in this round is CD Tuilla, the team that won the Asturian group of Tercera División. They lost in the previous round before the B team of Las Palmas and therefore they are now forced to pass two more rounds in order to reach the promotion to Segunda B.

The team coached by Julio Raúl González base their successful season in the performance at the small pitch of El Candín, so to get a positive result in this game is a basic thing for Fabril. For this match the Asturians are missing winger Herminio Álvarez ‘Mini’, who is suspended. He scored seven goals during the regular season.

The main threats in attack are strikers Matías Fernandez and Jonathan Barcia ‘Jony’, the first scored eleven goals in the regular tournament and the second is the Pichichi at the team with seventeen goals in favour. 300 fans of Tuilla will be at Abegondo for the meeting.
