La Voz de Galicia revealed that Deportivo have reached an agreement with left winger Juan Emmanuel Culio, who is pending to resolve his situation at Galatasaray SK before joining the Galician outfit.

One of the many needs at Deportivo’s squad is a left winger, coach Fernando Vázquez would have loved to witness the continuity of Salomão, but Sporting CP didn’t allow it; in this way the club has been exploring other options and now Argentine Juan Emmanuel Culio is becoming into the first choice of the club.

Culio is a 29-year-old left winger that currently belongs to Galatasaray SK. Coach Fatih Terim doesn’t count with him and the player has received several offers from European clubs, but the one that’s attracting him the most is Deportivo. Newspaper La Voz de Galicia reported that both sides already negotiated the terms of the contract, but that the main problem right now is to see the player breaking his link with the Turkish club.

The player himself explained the situation during a phone conversation with journalist Xurxo Fernández, “If they pay me on here then I will fly immediately there. I’m just pending to resolve this issue before joining Depor. But if Galatasaray don’t pay what they owe me then the chances of leaving are 0%.”

“I would love to join Deportivo; it’s a pretty place to play football. I was having offers from Primera clubs, but on here things haven’t been fixed and the spots there have been already covered by other players.” The Argentine man added.

According to reports from Turkey, Tulio is demanding the payment of €700,000 to Galatasaray SK. So, the strategy of Deportivo is to wait until the situation of the player is resolved, but it could take until the end of the transfer window and there’s even the chance it won’t happen. Still to be seen how much time is Deportivo ready to wait for the player.

Culio is a winger that made a name in European football playing for Romanian club CFR Cluj; at that team he scored three goals in twelve presentations in the UEFA Champions League, plus one goal in ten matches in the Europa League. In 2011, Galatasaray SK paid  €2 million for him, but he never earned a spot there and spent the last two seasons loaned at other Turkish clubs (Mersin İdmanyurdu SK & Orduspor)
