The transfer window shutdowns on Monday and Depor have some pending issues. The Galicians are trying to close the exits of Rochela, Deák and Ayoze, while it will try to sign a new striker, a new centre-back and a new winger.

President Augusto César Lendoiro promised news during the weekend as Depor are moving forward to the last hours of the summer transfer window. The deadline is Monday at midnight and the club needs to close some exits and arrivals.

The exits are left-back Ayoze Díaz, plus centre-backs David Rochela and Stefan Deák. It has been known that the club is trying to cancel the contract of the first two players.  Ayoze wants to receive the full payment of the year remaining in his contract, while club only wants to allow his exit for free- In the case of Rochela, the problem was the relationship with his agent, Eugenio Botas.

Lendoiro talked of Rochela on the week, “We’ve been talking about the issue for the last three, four or five months… later people think we are leaving things for the last moment. You have the case of Borja, who was closed as soon as it was possible. But there are other cases in which we don’t know what could happen. I talked to Botas [his agent] about the case with Rochela and nothing happened. We need to solve these cases in order to allow more arrivals.”

Late on Friday it was known that Rochela was close to cancel his contract and that he was negotiating with Buriram United FC in Thailand. The exit could be official as soon as he makes the medicals there.

The exit of Deák is more undefined as it isn’t know yet if the club wants to send him out in a new loan spell or if it will be definitive. Then Deportivo are pending in closing the signings of a centre-back, a winger and a central striker. These three arrivals  should close the squad, and for now the clear thing is the name of the defender: Carlos Marchena.

Radio Cadena Cope announced on Friday that Depor and the ex-Valencia man already reached an agreement in order to extend the career of the player in A Coruña. He signed a one-year contract on last season and is ready to continue. Depor need this signing in order to have three centre-backs available for the regular season.

Later in the day La Voz de Galicia informed it is a one-year renewal, something confirmed by the player himself, ”It’s for one year, though I hope it could be for more. I am going back for love, because I felt incredibly happy there. I’m really happy.”

The case of the striker is the soap opera of the summer at Deportivo. Alex Geijo was the main target, then it was known that the club wasn’t going to wait for him as the issue with Udinese Calcio remained open.
However, on Friday La Voz de Galicia informed that the Italian club and the player and close to reach an agreement, which means the options remains active.

In any case Deportivo had already begun to study other two options. The name of the first remains unknown and it has only said that it will come from a European club. The second is José Verdú Nicolás ´Toché’ (30, Panathinaikos FC). The former Cartagena top-scorer is trying to cancel his contract with the Greek club (one more year) and Deportivo already contacted his agent.

Finally, Depor will try to get a replacement to Bruno Gama, and the main hope is to allow the return of Diogo Salomão. The Portuguese has just extended his contract with Sporting CP for five more years, including a 45 million euros releasing clause. This new contract will allow Depor to negotiate a loan spell, though it won’t be an easy case.
