Deportivo begin the first week in the pre-season with only two confirmed signings, the loan of Lucas Pérez isn’t official yet and the team is lacking, at least, two central defenders plus another playmaker.

The pre-season 2014/15 begins with Deportivo still trying to complete the singings and with the pending subject of the players that could leave. Currently new boss Víctor Fernández has 19 players available, which isn’t far from the target of 20 (plus the keepers) pointed out by former coach Fernando Vázquez.

However, sporting advisor Fernando Vidal had pointed out that Deportivo could end making up to thirteen signings, and with only two arrivals confirmed so far (Roberto Canella and Isaac Cuenca) it means that a lot still to be done regarding signings, which will also led to complete exits.

The third signing should be Lucas Pérez, who arrived on Friday to A Coruña, but the loan hasn’t been officially confirmed and the winger wan not even picked for the first day of trainings. The club was also trying to close the signing of striker Bojan Krkić during the weekend, but the Barca’s player has an offer from Stoke City and the issue remain unsolved.

Cameroonian Enoh Eyong has solved his mess with clubs Antalyaspor and Ajax, but it isn’t clear if Deportivo really want him or not. The player was in holiday in Cyprus. Another centre midfielder linked with Depor is Argentine Bruno Zuculini, who is currently making the pre-season stage with Manchester City FC.

What Depor need toe most at this point is to reinforce the centre of the defense, because there are only two men for that position: Insua and Lopo. Another position in problems is the playmaking function, because only Juan Carlos is available.

About exits, there are a lot of rumours, but the true is that Víctor Fernández still has to see the players before deciding if someone should leave. For now the club is only negotiating the exit of Bicho, the playmaker of Fabril that has big options of been transferred to FC Barcelona.
