Sergio Teles conceded an interview to newspaper La Voz de Galicia; the Portuguese midfielder said that his goal is to succeed at SD Compostela and later return to Deportivo.

Q: Will Compostela be your springboard to return to the Riazor?
A: To me it’s clear that it will be a very important year. I hope to be lucky, because my intention is to return to Deportivo. That's my goal, but always fulfilling other objectives marked at Compostela.

Q: What are those goals?
A: Our first target is to be among the top four of the group in order to qualify for the playoffs. Then, of course, fight for promotion.

Q: A very demanding target, right?
A: Of course I do. That's why we're here.

Q: Is it for you a step back in your career playing at Compostela?
A: No, of course not. No way you can say that. Surely it's not the same to play at Primera División with Deportivo than to do it at Segunda B with Compostela, but it doesn’t means a step backwards. I only think it’s a step that must be made and it can be very important for my career. This year is key and I want to use it. I will do everything in my power to get back to Deportivo.

Q: You already debuted in a friendly and completed several training sessions. How has been this work?
A: We’re training hard. It's a hard work during these early sessions, but I'm very happy to have reached an agreement with Compos.

Q: It won’t be easy to gain a spot in a team that has changed a lot compared to last season.
A: That’s up to the coach. We have to work and strive every day to be at the starting lineup.

Q: What was the reason to see you accepting the offer from Compostela?
A: Playing football, simply. It is true that I had some more offers, but both Deportivo, as my representative and I, felt it was the best to play this season in Santiago.

Q: You already know the Segunda B, because you played last year at Guijuelo. How about that experience?
A: Very bad personally. I enjoyed a few games and I could learn things from the Spanish Segunda B, but I would have liked to participate more.

Q: What are your virtues?
A: My vision and the final pass.
