Boring game at the Municipal de Laracha, three of the most recent signings, plus two lads from Fabril, were debuting. Sidnei played the first 45 minutes and left a positive impression, also Cardoso & Remeseiro from Fabril.

This match took place in order to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Tercera club Laracha CF, it was also possible as there’s an international break on this weekend. Coach Víctor Fernández presented a 4-3-3 formation with two Fabril’s players and several substitutes compared to the squad that faced Rayo Vallecano. Juan Carlos was going to be a starter, but he was left out during the warming up due to an ankle sprain.

Fabricio was the goalkeeper, Manuel Pablo covered the right-back position, Luisinho performed at the left. New arrival Sidnei was debuting joining Álex Bergantiños at the centre of the defense.

Juan Dominguez and José Rodriguez were the only players at the starting formation that were also starters on last Sunday. They were joined by Cezary Wilk at midfield. Marcos Remeseiro was the centre forward, with Miguel Cardoso and Lucas Pérez attacking by the sides.

Only a couple of things can be extracted from this friendly match, because Laracha was a team that didn’t give too many problems to Deportivo as the locals were busier trying to control the game at midfield. With a lineup full of “substitutes” Depor dominated the early stages of the first half and scored twice in a matter of three minutes.

Both goals were scored by the two Fabril’s players on the pitch. The first was netted by Remeseiro with a drilling shot from outside the area, just two minutes later Miguel Cardoso scored the second with a solid solo-move inside the box to score from close range.

Besides the goals from both Fabril’s players, there were only a few things to rescue from the first part. One of them is that Sidnei was always well placed on the pitch despite he had only be training with the team for the past two days.

The other good news is that Lucas Pérez is already recovered and seemed sharp attacking from the right wing, though he was constantly moving into the centre. The trio at midfield was working fine, but it’s also true that the rival didn’t offer a strong opposition.

For the second half, Víctor made a triple change allowing the debuts of Canadian Samuel Piette, who was signed for Fabril and Juanfran Moreno. They replaced Sidnei and Lucas Pérez. The other modification was the entry of Diego Seoane claiming the spot of Luisinho.

Now the draw was a 4-4-2, with Manuel Pablo and Álex Bergantiños performing at the centre of the defense, while Cardoso and Remeseiro were the duo in attack. The half started with a clear chance for Laracha, it was a free-kick in which Miguel Taibo missed to score inside the box.

That was one of the two goal opportunities in the second half. Depor had the ball possession, but it was a team lacking interest in attacking. Juanfran didn’t face problems defending, but neither was incisive up front. Meanwhile Remeseiro and Cardoso demonstrated that they can be interesting players for Víctor Fernández as both fit into his schemes.

The other two players at the bench entered at the end of the second part. Iago López and Rafael Veloso replaced Juan Dominguez and Fabricio. Portuguese Veloso is one of the two recent signings made by Fabril and was making his debut with Deportivo. The entry of Iago pulled Álex Bergantiños to midfield leaving Depor B’s defender at the central positions. The second goal opportunity in the game was the third goal of Depor, scored by Wilk after finding the ball inside the area.

There will be a second friendly game before the next game in liga; it will be played on next Thursday as Deportivo will visit Arosa SC, another Tercera club, game that will be played at A Lomba (20h30 CET). It’s expected that the other two recent signings, Diakité and Postiga, plus injured Insua can be available for that game.
