REVIEW: ORDENES 2 – FABRIL 1 (TERCERA)

07 Oct 2014
Deportivo B deserved more for what it did before allowing the first goal, but later it became a desperate team searching for the equalizer and could have suffered a bigger loss. This is the second defeat on the Tercera season.

BEFORE THE GAME
Coach Manu Mosquera was still missing five players due to injury reasons: Santi Taboada, Samuel Piette, David Gómez, Álvaro Queijeiro and Álex Pérez. The draw was now a 4-1-4-1 and the big novelty was to see striker Dani Iglesias starting for the first time on the season.

Veloso was the keeper, Callón covered the right-back position, Adrián Martínez played on the left, while the centre-backs were Quique Fornos and Róber Suárez. Juan López now advanced his position and joined Remeseiro in the playmaking tasks, Iago López was the lonely centre midfielder,  Cardoso attacked from the left wing, Jesús Cañizares ‘Cañi did it from the right, and Dani Iglesias was the centre forward.

The rival was SD Órdenes, team coached by José Ignacio Fernández The A-Coruña based team was trying to climb some positions after a doubtful start. There were no injured players that missed the game. Ex-Fabril Juan Pablo ‘Juanpa’ Barros was a starter and was going to be a factor in the meeting.

THE MATCH
Second defeat on the season for Fabril; it was a very particular game, Manu Mosquera presented an offensive formation and Depor’s youngsters played solid football for an hour, but after allowing the first goal they lost the control and were at the mercy of a rival that defined the game in an isolated play. The goal of Remeseiro arrived too late to add excitement to the meeting.

Dani Iglesias was a starter for the first time on the season, a motivating factor after showing glimpses of his class in the previous game entering as a substitute. However in this game he failed to impress, his lonely chance was a shot inside the area that missed the target (24’).

More important was the contribution of Remeseiro and Cardoso, the offensive duo that has been supporting the offensive tasks of their team. The first completed the first shot on target in the game, which turned to be an easy catch for local goalie Mario Barreiro.

But the man of the match was Juanpa, the ex-Fabril player starred the few chances of his team and brought a lot of problems penetrating by the sides. The winger created the main chance for the locals in the first half with a high cross that attacker Nacho Fernández missed inside the area (34’).

Also to emphasize the work done by Iago López, in recent weeks Mosquera as used him as a centre midfielder and he has done a great job. In the second part Depor B increased the pressure searching for a victory that could allow them to approach the first places, but instead the visiting outfit allowed an unfortunate goal in a set-piece.

Juanpa was releasing a free-kick from the edge of the area, the ball went into the box and it was deflected by Róber with a header that fooled Veloso. The referee ended giving the goal to the ex-Depor B player. That was the turning point that changed the fate of the game.

And it’s that before that play Depor B, despite been an ambitious team pushing up front, was also a solid block at defense, and that balance was lost as the youngsters started to look for the equalizer. Mosquera contributed to this with his changes, Kim Woo-hong and Ángel Fernández entered for Callón and Cañi, now the team was playing with a 3-2-4-1 figure.

Instead of creating more scoring opportunities Fabril ended opening the gates to the counterattacks by Órdenes, Juanpa created two clear opportunities in which he ended one-on-one before Veloso, the clearest one was saved by Iago López at the goal line (65’).

So, it wasn’t surprising to see the locals scoring the second goal, it was a great play on the right wing by José Souto eluding Adrián and he only had to assist Julián López, who scored with a crossed and drilled shot from inside the area. Things got worse for Depor B as Quique Fornos got injured and fullback Jorge Fernández had to replace him.

Fabril pulled one goal back in a free-kick action in which the local defense couldn’t clear the ball, instead Iago López drilled the ball into the area, Kim didn’t connect the ball properly, but luckily it turned into a perfect assist to see Marcos Remeseiro scoring his third goal on the season with a crossed shot, but it was already the last minute in the stoppage time and there was no time to think of a comeback.

AFTER THE GAME
The game had two different moments, before the first goal Fabril was a balanced and ambitious team searching for the victory, later it lost the order and could have suffered a bigger loss. This is the second defeat on the season and first playing on the road. On Saturday the team returns to Abegondo after two straight away meetings, the rival will be Ribadumia CF (18h00 CET).

Comments of Manu Mosquera: ”After an acceptable performance in the first half, though without having clear opportunities, in the second half we conceded too much before a serious and ordered rival. There is no excuse and we know that, having these ups and downs with a young squad, then the games turn to be difficult. The victory for Ordes was fair.”
