Víctor Fernández could end presenting the same starting eleven that defeated Valencia CF; Hélder Postiga, Juan Domínguez and Roberto Canella are all available and the roster could be composed by twenty players.

Striker Hélder Postiga is available after receiving the medical okay to play. The Portuguese joined the trainings on Thursday and it was expected that he was going to be rested, but in the end the doctors and coach Víctor Fernandez decided that he was ready after not feeling any consequence from his hamstring injury.

In this way, and with the returns of centre midfielder Juan Dominguez and left-back Roberto Canella, the coach has almost the full squad available for the game against RCD Espanyol. The only player that’s out is left winger Diogo Salomão. The coach will release the roster for the game early on Saturday and he already announced that it could end composed by 19 or 20 players.

But the idea of the coach is to keep the same starting eleven, this after announcing on Friday that he will love to reward the past performance with a new presence at the starting team, ”It’s difficult to have changes, because we are coming after a great game and everyone deserves the chance of the continuity. I could end making one change, though I don’t think it will happen. The continuity is part of the process searching for the improvement and progression.”

And that’s what Víctor has tested during the training sessions: a team with littler variations compared to the one that played at the Riazor. Fabricio Agosto, Cezary Wilk, Lucas Pérez and Iván Cavaleiro are all set to keep their spots at the team.

The only two variations tested by the coach during the training sessions were to allow the return of Laureano Sanabria ‘Laure’ at the right-back position replacing Juanfran, and later relocate Canella on the left wing moving Cuenca into the playmaking function, which means to drop Luis Fariña from the starting eleven.

In case of repeating the lineup, it will be the second time on this season in which Víctor presents the same squad during two consecutive games. He already did it for the matches against RC Celta (matchday 05) and UD Almeria (matchday 06).
