Deportivo are pending to know if Lucas Pérez will be available for Friday’s game. It’s expected he will be ready. Salomão is close to return. Getafe are facing the meeting having four casualties including Pedro León.

Atypical week for Deportivo, because it will be short. The team played on Sunday in Barcelona and only five days later it is welcoming Getafe CF at the Riazor (Friday, 20h45 CET). The squad will only complete three trainings sessions before the meeting, coach Víctor Fernández is even thinking of making a fourth session early on Friday, just hours before the match.

The doubt for the game is winger/playmaker Lucas Pérez; the Galician player only lasted eighteen minutes on the pitch in the game against RCD Espanyol after picking a knee injury.  It was feared the worst, but the scans revealed that it was only a knock. Still, he hasn’t trained on this week and his participation in the game will be decided today as he will join the trainings.

The rest of the team is available with the exception of Diogo Salomão; the winger continues to train alongside the rest of the group, but hasn’t received the medical okay to play. It’s expected that the doctors will assess his situation on next week and the Portuguese player could have his first minutes after the next international break.

As it often happens, there were academy players during the training session. On Tuesday’s session centre-backs Hugo Díaz and Quique Fornos plus winger Óscar García, centre midfielder Santi Taboada plus strikers Pancho Cotos and Kama Massampu trained with the first team. The latter is a French attacker that had problems to be inscribed with Depor B and that’s waiting to join the team in January.

At Getafe CF, the team coached by Cosmin Contra had a complicated start of season losing four of the first five games, but later it picked seven of the next nine points in dispute and on Sunday it barely lost hosting champions Atlético Madrid (0-1).

The Madrilenians are having four casualties for the visit to the Riazor. Centre-back Alexis Ruano, who was a starter in seven of the nine matchdays played so far, is suspended after been sent off against Atlético Madrid.

Two of the absentees are injury cases: right-back Álvaro Arroyo (knee sprain) and striker Álvaro Vázquez (shoulder). The fourth casualty is winger Pedro León, who remains sidelined by the LFP as Getafe exceeded the salary cap and his inscription during the summer window wasn’t allowed.

Besides, ex-Depor playmaker Míchel Herrero skipped the game against Atlético after sustaining a knee injury in the last training session before the game. He hasn’t been ruled out of Friday’s match and his status will be assessed on Thursday.
