MATCHDAY 09: THE LAST UNDEFEATED

There are no more undefeated teams in la liga after FC Barcelona allowed three goals at the Bernabeú. Sevilla CF are living their best start in the competition, Córdoba CF remain winless, while one more coach is about to be fired at Primera División.

FC Barcelona remain as the leader at Liga BBVA despite suffering their first defeat during the visit to Real Madrid (3-1). The Catalans also allowed their first goals on the season, now there are no more undefeated outfits in the competition and the Madrilenians remain third at the standings, but only one point below the leaders.

Sevilla CF are still living the dream, they were hosting Villarreal CF and were losing 0-1 by minute 87, but two late goals allowed them to reach their best start ever at Primera División with seven victories and one draw within the first nine matchdays .

Valencia CF recovered from the setback at the Riazor with a new victory scoring three goals: 3-1 against Elche CF (their six wins on the season came with the team scoring exactly three goals). Los Chés remain fourth tied in points with Atlético Madrid, the latter side clinched a suffered victory visiting Getafe CF (0-1).

The defeat of Villarreal CF is allowing RC Celta to regain the sixth position; this after the Galicians thrashed Levante UD at Balaídos (3-0). Malaga CF are also moving towards the European seats after a resounding 4-0 victory over Rayo Vallecano, it’s the third win in a row for the Andalusians.

There were no changes at the drop zone. The defeats of Elche CF and Levante UD are keeping them at the bottom, while Córdoba CF climbed two positions despite a 1-1 draw hosting Real Sociedad. The Andalusians remain as the only winless team in la liga. The result is also insufficient for the Basque club and they are about to fire coach Jagoba Arrasate.

La Real have spent seven straight matchdays without adding the three points and are only one point above relegation. The future of Arrasate will be decided in the following 24 hours, but the media in the Basque country are already announcing that he will be replaced by German coach Thomas Tuchel. In case of been confirmed it would be the third coach fired in la liga.

The other teams fighting for the permanence got positive outcomes. RC Deportivo grabbed a point from the visit to RCD Espanyol (0-0). Athletic Bilbao got the second victory on the season defeating UD Almeria on the road (0-1) and SD Eibar added a draw hosting Granada CF (1-1).

MATCHDAY 10: IMPORTANT GAMES AT THE TOP
There are two interesting meetings at the top of the table: Leaders FC Barcelona are entertaining sixth place RC Celta and fourth place Valencia CF are visiting eighth spot Villarreal CF in what’s also a new version of the Valencian derby. In the case of Deportivo, the Galicians are hosting Getafe CF.

The matchday is completed with seven games: Granada CF Vs. Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid Vs. Córdoba CF, Real Sociedad Vs. Malaga CF, Athletic Club Vs. Sevilla CF, Levante UD Vs. UD Almería, Elche CF Vs. RCD Espanyol & Rayo Vallecano Vs. SD Éibar.
