Iván Cavaleiro was elected by the peña members as the best player in the month of October, just when he was replaced as a centre forward. Wilk also had a great month as the Polish got his first minutes on the season.

 October wasn’t a great month in the opinion of the RCDLC.com peña members, because in three of the four games played in the month the team got the lower note (1). Neither the results were too great as Deportivo suffered two losses and got a suffered draw against RCD Espanyol. The only bright spot was the big win hosting Valencia CF.

And the most consistent man in the month was the player of October: Iván Cavaleiro. Since the game against Valencia, coach Víctor Fernández replaced him as a centre forward, it can be said that almost performing as a “false nine”, and the move impressed the peña members, because in the next three games the Portuguese winger was among the three more voted men.

He was the second most voted player in the clash against Valencia CF, then he was the third man with more votes during the meeting against RCD Espanyol and finally got his first Man Of the Match award (MOM) during the home defeat against Getafe CF.  In the end Cavaleiro picked sixteen points in October.

Another big winner in the month was Cezary Wilk, the Polish midfielder passed from been out of the roster to become a fixed starter. He was the MOM of the game against Valencia CF and later was the second more voted man in the clash against RCD Espanyol. He ended adding fourteen points to his tally.

The other two MOM’s in the month were also particular cases. Fabricio Agosto came out from the bench in order to be named as the best player in the goalless draw against RCD Espanyol (match in which he made six saves to keep the clean sheet). Juanfran Moreno, who is now the starting right-back, was named as the best man in the meeting against Sevilla CF.

Bosnian Haris Medunjanin was the third player to get points in two different games; he was the third most voted man in the big loss visiting Sevilla CF and was third during the victory over Valencia CF.

Overall: Cavaleiro is now the leader in the race for the Player of The Season award. The Portuguese added 16 of his 26 points in October. Isaac Cuenca didn’t get any point in the month and he’s now second. Medunjanin and Sidnei Rechel added some points in October and are approaching to third spot Laure.
