RC Deportivo La Coruña is the second team in la liga that allows more goals during the second halves, for this reason the Galician outfit has dropped four points in the final part of the league meetings.

Only five teams in la liga present a negative balance between the points gained and lost during the second halves of this season’s matches. Deportivo are one of them as Los Blanquiazules dropped four points in the final parts.

This problem is affecting Víctor Fernández’s team since matchday 01. Depor were winning 0-1 at Granada CF and later ended losing 1-2 after allowing two goals in the second half, a month later the team dropped a point at home after allowing a late goal against UD Almeria (0-1).

The other four Primera clubs in this list are SD Eibar (-5), Almeria UD (-3), Athletic Bilbao (-2) and Granada CF (-2). Taking in mind only the results of the first half Depor would be ninth at the standings thanks to those four extra points.

Deportivo’s main problem has been to have allowed 13 goals in the second halves of the first eleven liga matches. It’s the second highest number in the tournament only below Levante UD (16). To have in mind that the Galician outfit has allowed five goals within the last fifteen minutes, and two of those five goals cost the defeats before Granada CF (77’) and Almeria UD (90+2’).

Lack of concentration, tiredness and poor physical preparation, those are a few of many explanations to this situation, the clear thing is that Deportivo cannot drop points in a season in which the main target is to survive, especially when the games are about to end.
