17 of the 25 players at the first team of Deportivo are ending their links with the club in June of 2015, eight of them are players ending their loan spells. Ten of the men are open to negotiate with other clubs starting on January 1st.

68% of the current players at Deportivo’s first team are ending their link with the club in June of 2015 or even before. Eight of them are players on loan that will return to their parent clubs, while other nine men will be able to negotiate their future starting on January 1st.

It is the common reality, year after year, of a club that’s living a delicate financial situation. It isn’t possible to offer long term-contracts, so the club signs short contracts or ends negotiating loan spells. In 2014 the percentage of players that were ending their contracts was 73%, very similar to the one for next year.

The ten players ending their contracts during the summer are goalkeeper German Lux, right-back Manuel Pablo, centre-back Modibo Diakité, centre midfielders Cezary Wilk and Juan Dominguez, playmaker Juan Carlos, winger Isaac Cuenca, plus strikers Hélder Postiga and Toché.

There’s a special case with French Diakité because his contract is ending on December 31. About the rest, for now the club has only approached Juan Dominguez in order to negotiate a contract extension.

The eight players that are ending their loan spells are centre-back Sidnei Rechel, left-back Roberto Canella, right-back/winger Juanfran Moreno, centre midfielder José Rodríguez, playmaker Luis Fariña, attacker Iván Cavaleiro, plus wingers Lucas Pérez and Diogo Salomão.

Only eight players will extend their career at the club beyond next summer. Five are ending their contracts in 2016: right-backs Laureano Sanabria ‘Laure’ and Diego Seoane, centre-back Albert Lopo, centre midfielder Álex Bergantiños plus goalkeeper Fabricio Agosto, the latter is currently undergoing renewal talks with Deportivo.

Then only three players are ending their link with Depor until 2017: centre-back Pablo Insua, centre midfielder Haris Medunjanin and left-back Luisinho, the latter signed two weeks ago a contract extension.
