Albert Lopo is now the second player in the history of Deportivo that has received more yellow cards; on this season the Catalan were shown ten yellows, and is missing the game with Getafe CF due to suspension.

 During the game against RCD Espanyol, Albert Lopo were shown his tenth yellow card on this season, the highest number for a Depor’s player on this campaign, for this reason the Catalan man will skip the game against Getafe CF due to suspension.

It has been a recurring thing in the career of the centre-back at Deportivo, who’s living his seventh year at the club. And it’s that Lopo is now the second player with more yellow cards in the history of the club. Totally he has saw 65 yellow cards in 188 Primera & Segunda matches. He was also sent off in four opportunities.

The “leader” in this list is Brazilian Mauro Silva, who received 70 yellow cards in 369 Primera matches, while Moroccan Noureddine Naybet is now third in the list with 58 yellows distributed in 211 Primera meetings.

Lopo is also part of the top list of more yellow cards in the history of Primera División. Taking in mind his career at RCD Espanyol and Getafe CF, he has received 153 yellow cards, the same number of ex-Valencia man David Albelda and only three less than the leader in this department: Fernando Hierro (156).
