If Víctor Sánchez has demonstrated something in his short time in A Coruña is to be unpredictable regarding the lineups. He has used three different schemes in five games and even an alternative with four full-backs. Still, the results were poor.

Coach Víctor Sánchez has always stated that Deportivo have polyvalent players that allow him to prepare different alternatives in the lineups for the games, and he has demonstrated this with the different choices made in the five matches that the team has been under his command.

He began giving continuity to the 4-2-3-1 for the visit to Real Sociedad, later he switched into a 4-4-2 for the home clash with Atlético Madrid, later opted in a 4-3-3 and ended playing with 4-2-3-1 against Villarreal characterized by the presence of four full-backs. He always made changes, though it’s also true that in the first three games he faced suspensions of normal starters.

Still, the changes haven’t helped to clinch a victory. But Víctor is ready to continue experimenting in order to return to winning ways. Another of the characteristics of the new coach is that he gives some hints on the possible formation in the last training before the game, in this sense he tested the draw with four full-backs on the same Sunday that Depor faced Villarreal (session behind closed doors at the Riazor).

So, on this week the coach hasn’t tested any specific draw yet, he will probably do it until today as the team will complete the last training before traveling to the Basque country (again a session behind closed doors at the Riazor)

Laure and Manuel Pablo completed a solid game against Villarreal CF, which invites to think that they will stay in the formation and leads to question of what will happen with Luisinho and Juanfran, duo that didn’t have a good performance performing as wingers. The coach has the option of playing with a 4-4-2, with will mean the return of Toché.

Despite making changes and switches in the draw, the true is that Víctor is still “ignoring” the players that didn’t have too many opportunities with his predecessor, Víctor Fernández, in this sense Borja López remains without debuting, Roberto Canella hasn’t played any game in 2015 and Haris Medunjanin is still to be considered a second option.

There are exceptions too, like the cases of Manuel Pablo and <Laure, plus José Rodríguez, who passed from been a normal starter to not play any single minute within the last four liga meetings.
