The club informed on Monday that Diego Seoane has rescinded his contract with Deportivo. The right-back joined the club in 2003 and climbed from Juvenil B until the first team, but never earned a starting spot.

Diego Seoane leaves Deportivo. The right-back rescinded his contract with the club on Monday (lasting until 2016). The 27-year-old born player was out of the plans for Víctor Sánchez due to the large list of side defenders at the first team, which was increased last week with the arrival of Juanfran Moreno.

The Ourense-born player was scouted by Depor during the Brunete tournament in 2003; he joined Juvenil B ad climbed in the chart until reaching Deportivo B for the season 2008/09. He made 71 appearances with Fabril, 30 of those matches took place at Segunda B.

Harder was his career with the first team. The debut of Seoane at Primera can be considered as punctual. Depor was hosting Real Valladolid at the Riazor (May 20th, 2010) and he was used as a left-back, because Filipe and Angulo were injured and Laure was suspended, so Lotina played with Manuel Pablo at the right and Diego on the left.

But his official debut with the first team took place before that match as Depor were visiting Sevilla CF in Copa del Rey (January 27th 2010) and once again Lotina had a lot of casualties in defense. He also played that game as a left-back.

It seemed that his career at Depor was going to be promising, but never managed to earn a starting status and in the end Seoane only made 42 league appearances with the first team between 2009 and 2014, and last year he didn’t play any minute until going out loaned to Córdoba CF.

The league career of Seoane at Deportivo:
