Sidnei Rechel returns to Deportivo. The centre-back has been loaned again by SL Benfica ahead of the season 2015/16. After two weeks of ups and downs the Brazilian is returning to A Coruña after a solid performance on last campaign.

Centre-back Sidnei Rechel is completing the defense of Deportivo as SL Benfica and Deportivo announced that the Brazilian has been loaned for one more season after his successful spell on the campaign 2013/14.

For weeks it was commented that the deal was close to be signed, even coach Víctor Sánchez stated before the stage in Guitiriz that that everything was close to happen, but in the end the days passed and the defender was linked with other clubs.

For two weeks there was a lot of speculation and suddenly, on Tuesday, the player was sawn in A Coruña taking pictures with the fans and visiting Luisinho, one day later both clubs were announcing the operation. The player arrived on Wednesday to A Coruña and is expected to join the trainings on Thursday.

Last season, despite arriving on deadline-day, the centre-back was a fixed starter in the lineups of Víctor Fernández and Víctor Sánchez, to the point that he was the second players with more minutes at the team (2,880), only 12 less minutes than Luisinho and taking in mind that the Brazilian skipped the first two matches.

The arrival of Sidnei means to close the defense and is the seventh official signing of Deportivo after the arrivals of left-backs Saúl García and Fernando Navarro, right-back Juanfran Moreno, centre-back Alejandro Arribas, playmaker Luis Alberto and striker Oriol Riera. The club also completed the renewals of centre midfielder Juan Dominguez and right-back Manuel Pablo.
