Up to six new faces can be starters in the debut against Real Sociedad. Víctor Sánchez hasn’t tested any specific draw, but the base should be the lineup that played the Teresa Herrera.

The debut in liga for Deportivo could be marked by the presence at the starting squad of at least six new players that joined the team during the summer. There hasn’t been a pattern during the pre-season friendlies, but the Teresa Herrera game against SC Braga should be the model. The final tests should be made on Friday, day in which the team will train behind closed doors at the Riazor.

Two players from that team won’t be available for Saturday, the first is Fabricio Agosto, who is injured, and the other is Luisinho, who was suspended by the club until Monday. The defence seems to be the clearest sector with Lux on goal, Laure covering the right side, Fernando Navarro on the left and the duo Arribas-Sidnei at the centre.

At midfield it also seems clear that Juan Dominguez and Pedro Mosquera are going to control the traffic of the ball, then the main doubts are located in attack with the coach having several alternatives.

The left wing can be covered with Luis Alberto or with Fede Cartabia, something that will open the playmaking function for Faycal Fajr or Lucas Pérez. Cani has big options of playing on the left, though Cartabia can also perform there. This means five players for three positions.

The only attacking position that’s defined for the game is the centre forward. Oriol Riera will play there despite missing to score during the pre-season. Jonathan Rodriguez will train with the team on Saturday, but it’s too soon for him and won’t be picked for the match, so the Catalan will have the chance to break his negative streak in the opening matchday.
